I love this toy seller. A true man of integrity. I can tell he prices fairly and to be upfront and honest with a customer who has a valuable item says a lot about his character. In my area that customer would have been lowballed and would not have mentioned the rarity of the Savage Heman. I personally know a toy seller in my area who runs a shop where he will price basic non rare loose Heman figures for like $25-40 dollars each regardless of condition. $40-$70 for loose basic non rare vintage Star Wars figures. Not only that he will openly brag about screwing over customers who’ve come in and sold him rare toys for pennies in front of other customers. Before I got to know him I brought in some early mego micronauts vehicles and complete original line up GiJoes that were found in an attic. He assumed I didn’t know what I had and lowballed me to an absurd level. So refreshing to see honest toy sellers. Much respect Dan and everyone you do business with.

I dunno it’s a business and that’s how he makes a living. I believe it’s on both the buyer and seller to research what it is to make sure they don’t get screwed over. I mean if you’re oblivious to the value of something you sell who’s fault is that? I would never brag about something like that though that’s just in poor taste.

I promised him that I would be back next week with 20 dollars if he would let me take it home that day. He said "Not necessary. Just come back with the 14 and we are straight." I gave him my word that I would come back, and I did. I still gave him the 20 dollars and refused the change. Moral of the story is be fair and honest people. You'll sleep better.
