I've never heard of A BUG'S LIFE being a part of the decision: according to THE PIXAR TOUCH, a book about the company (at least, according to the pages that are available on Google), Disney was just very impressed with some early work done on the movie, and decided to upgrade it to Theaters. The book also makes an interesting point: that Pixar, as it was set up, wasn't very conducive to the idea of low-budget fare - in part because Pixar wanted the freedom of moving its extremely talented pool of employees from project to project, and therefore, "[s]ince labor costs added up to 75 percent or more of the production costs, it was unrealistic to try and make a significantly lower-cost production as long as all the films were to come from the same pool of employees earning the same salaries."

I personally enjoyed the first film more because Woody and Buzz’s arcs were amazing and it was great watching their relationship grow. It also felt like it had higher stakes than this film in Sid’s house and the “So Play Nice” scene is just a masterpiece. They’re both brilliant films though.

This is my personal favorite of the Toy Story films for one reason: •What are we going to do, Buzz? •Use your head! •BUT I DON'T WANT TO USE MY HEAD! Still the best joke in any Toy Story film. Also, Wheezy's rendition of You Got A Friend In Me is the best version of that song. There's a theory that Emily is Andy's mom. Part of this is based on the hat Andy wears more resembles Jessie's than Woody's.

Actually, you can eat most packing peanuts. They are made from like, corn. They are made to be water dissolvable and biodegrade super easy so that they don't pollute. I know this cause in college 20 years ago I had a friend who liked to eat them, which you can imagine was somewhat of a reaction grabber.

Angelina, there was a puppet cowboy show on tv on saturday mornings in the 1950s , it was called the Howdy Doody show and he had a live studio audience full of kids and a sidekick person dressed as a clown, it was the biggest thing for kids, i don't know how long it lasted but it didn't get cancelled right away . you can see a clip of it in Back to the Future 3 , and the kind of energy the kids had in a movie called UHF.

I just heard the announcement that Pixar is making a 5th installment of this series, and I’m not sure if that’s a good idea. They should’ve ended the series with the 4th movie. Now, say what you will about “4”, but I thought it was a good movie. Not great, not the best movie of all time or anything, but it was good. It had its ups and downs, but it’s not like it ruined the characters for me like the internet claims it to be. Crucify me all you want, but I’m grateful with the 4th film. But “5”, now it seems like Pixar is pushing it a little too far.

According to a character iterview Stinky Pete have actuaclly started enjoying being maked up by Amy so he has been reformed (even though it's not shown in the movies themselves), as he got the very thing he needed: being loved by a kid, something he didn't get as he wasn't ever sold.

Jessie’s backstory in this movie 🎥 was really sad 😢 and it made my heart 💜 cry 😢. Every time I think about that scene I wouldn’t dare give up my Jessie doll that I still have when I was a little girl. That song 🎵 “When She Loved Me” is really beautiful 🤩 and sad 😔 at the same time, Sarah McLachlan sang that song 🎵 so beautifully that it can really make you cry 😢.

I agree. The second is the only one I saw twice in the theaters. And yes, they put a lot into this. Fortunately, the writers knew how to give everyone and everything a fair amount of time for the audience. The absurdity of nobody noticing these self moving objects or stolen vehicles is hilarious, too. Reactions to the Star Wars reference are probably my favorite.

Was there only one Woody doll? Andy's father was also named Andy-Andy Sr. -and he wrote his name on Woody's boot. The reason Woody is such a rare toy is because he's the only Woody doll that was ever made-just a prototype. Long story short, Andy ends up with a Woody prototype, the absolute only Woody doll in existence (the official line was never manufactured due to a new interest in space toys). So, honestly after looking through google, Woody is only one of a kind unlike Buzz who we see the isles are full of buzzes but there is only one woody doll and the whole collection was only made of only one each and that's it. Which made them super rare.
