12:16 As 3D artist I'd say in situation like these we use physics simulations that calculate realistic behaviour for an object in the scene. Pixar, however, uses the programmers and physicist's help to design such simulation algorithms from scratch, if there isn't one already. A separate team does a lot of research to figure out how certain objects hair behave in the real world, to design a simulation that is accurate to the real world, and make animator's job easier - they still had to animate Woody running on it, but I'm pretty sure the way paper behaves is generated entirely.

- This movie was the perfect ending to the TOY STORY franchise. The fourth one has some nice moments, but this here takes the cake. Absolutely ok to cry for this one! - SO many great moments. LOVE when Woody IMMEDIATELY decides to go back for the other toys after he finds out the truth about the day care, even after they parted on not so good terms. And Andy playing with all his toys at the end, telling them how much he loves them. AND THEE SCENE... where children learn that some day, you may find yourself in a no win scenario, and if you do, and if you've tried and tried and exhausted EVERY other option, there's no shame in that, and it's ok to go out with quiet dignity, surrounded by the ones you care for. 😭 This is probably the movie I'd show my kids when I want to explain death to them.

I cried when Andy departed and Woody gave a final farewell to his longtime partner, but this is hands down one of my favorite Pixar films of all time. @@kylahicks7054 It’s okay. I’ll gladly answer that. For the Latin Spanish version, the dub actor José Luis Orozco had to put on a Spaniard accent. Some of the dialogue was different, too. Chuckles the Clown is mainly voiced by late Bud Luckey, who was a character designer ever since Toy Story and he designed Woody (though he credits John Lasseter or picking the right design since he did hundreds of designs for Woody). He also directed and narrated the short Boundin' which was shown in front of The Incredibles in theaters and voiced Rick Dicker in The Incredibles as well, and voiced Eeyore in 2011 Winnie the Pooh. He retired during the production of TS3 in which he storyboarded a deleted alternative opening to the movie, as a send-off. He passed away in 2018 months before Incredibles 2 was released (he didn't reprised Rick Dicker, his voice was recast by Jonathan Banks). In the flashback Chuckles was voiced by Bob Peterson, the guy who co-direced Finding Nemo and Up and voices Dug in Up and Dug Days.

Ah, the third one. I'd argue since I actually saw this movie in theaters as part of a triple-feature (Yes, they did that), it's automatically the best one of the quadrilogy. 13:14 That would be Jeff Garlin, also known as the CAPTAIN FROM WALL-E! He's also been on "The Goldbergs", "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "Arrested Development", and "Mad About You"!

I graduated in 2012 two years after this came out in 2010. So I was bawling in theatres when it came out.

12:23 fun fact but pixar actually animated the first toilet paper and toilet in cgi- for monsters inc! you can see how far they have come with animation compared to toy story 3. and yes, it was a pain in the ass to get right lol

I went to see this film at the cinema and I cried so hard my contact lenses came out. I walked out the theatre bright red and blotchy and I was crying on-and-off for the rest of the day because it felt like the end of my chilldhood. Toy Story 1 came out when I was a baby and 3 came out when I was in high school and I still had all my Toy Story toys. No shame in crying!

This came out as my friends and I graduated high school. We all went and saw it at the drive in theatre and cried.

My dad, my 12 friends and I went to see this in theaters for my 13th birthday. We all were sobbing uncontrollably well into the house lights coming on.
