The fact high end Pokeballs like this can't open up or even do the iconic sound effect is pretty disappointing

I agree it should've opened up and had some kind of pokemon in it too.

Agreed, It's the same issue I had with the Legacy Communicator for Power Rangers. It looked like a watch, but couldn't be used like a watch so what was the point. That at least could have opened or split in the middle or something. There's no reason they couldn't have used a visual trick to make it look like it was entirely hollow if you opened the thing up

@@DarkSilverHedgehogI would've preferred if the Legacy Communicator connected to one's phone via Bluetooth so that you can do phonecalls on it.

They currently sell transforming Pokémon toys that transform into ball shapes to fit in an opening Poké Ball/Great Ball/Ultra Ball/Master Ball. Highly recommended.

There have been high quality, officially licensed PokeBalls that open up and have mint candies inside. The fact that these Wand Company things are so expensive yet do so little is insane. It's a sphere with some grooves on it, it's not exactly an artisan sculpture!

For around that price, you could get a Commander Class or even a Titan Class Transformer, if you know where to look for them! Speaking of which, Imagine a costume Pokeball with an Autobot Insignia, or even a Purple one with a Decepticon Insignia. As the PXT guy around here, I would probably admit that if such a thing was sold anywhere, maybe I would probably buy it in a heartbeat. But that's not happening anytime soon!

I wish we got the golden card pokeballs back but done in different types of balls while still using the metal from these balls. That i feel would be worth $100.

Metal pokeball look and feel fantastic but the fact it can’t open is crazy

I agree it should actually open open up and have sound FX. In fact it seems like they wasted and over engineered the BOX it comes in. That could have been a simple cardboard box but instead the hinge to open it up and the lights inside the box that should have been engineered into the ball itself. Also... honestly, if I'm going to be buying a Pok'eball I'm going to want to THROW the ball and at that price I'd be too afraid to actually do that. Why would anyone want a Pok'eball that can't do the Pok'eball things. I don't want a big expensive display piece, that's not what a Pok'eball is. I would want a prop that I could actually throw and be able to withstand some rough play. Not that I would ever actually being doing much of that anyway it's just nice to know that if I wanted to role play for a video or a convention or something that I could actually use it as a working prop.

I have the small pokeball made by the same company - its very nice to look at but its insanely heavy for the size (think about the size of a new potato) but all the tech is the same as this large version the price for the small one is already overpriced so the large one is likely criminal levels of pricing for the same functionality as the small

Not even any sound effect? Especally in the catching game? no satisfying catch sound? No vibration? Lame.
