Cool build. I turboed my 4k KP61 awhile back. If you still have issues with the manifold gasket blowing, get a 7k liteace manifold gasket. Theyre all metal/tin , instead of just that exhaust gasket stuff.

Questions. 1, why didn't you use ignition to trigger the fuel pump relay instead of a manual switch? 2, carby's don't have any way of measuring boost which means they can not increase the a/f ratio as boost increases so won't the rising rate reg only end up filling the fuel bowl in the carb quicker but not actually change the amount of fuel that comes out of the venturi? The fuel coming out of the venturi still needs to be atomised and over filling the bowl would only flood it, like you found out the first time. Please fill me in if I'm wrong!

Hey Steve, you are not wrong but there is method to my madness. 1. Fuel pump is wired on ignition but I have the switch on it as the pissy needle and seat on the stock carb cant hold much pressure. So I’m trying save it from flooding and the switch is just playing it safe. Once I go webber, this wont be a problem 2. Yep carb cant do shit with AFR hence why EFI is so much better and easier to tune. Its damn near impossible to tune a carby for boost but need to mess with jetting and get a wideband to start measuring AFR to see how far off I am. This will also be easier to change jets on a webber. I just got a wideband and hopefully will install next week. 3. Boost reference fuel pressure reg is mainly to ensure there is always more fuel pressure than boost. This is so boost is pushing fuel back through the fuel lines. Trying to equalise pressure in the carby and yes add a bit more fuel to limit of the jets. Ay we gotta catch up one of these days

In this video it’s a turbo Gemini regulator but in the last video I changed it to a Malpassi.

Isaac Castillo Arguedas base level fuel pressure is about 6psi and raises with turbo boost 1:1. So if there is 4psi of turbo boost there is 10psi of fuel pressure. Seems like the carburettor can handle extra fuel pressure under boost.
