In this video I show you a pretty cool mod from Cartrimhome. It’s a plug and play head up display. It displays mpg, tire pressure, among other sensors. The install took 45mins.

Just installed on my 2023 4Runner. Was hesitant, unsure if it is decent quality, but it is well-made and nice quality. Had a terrible time getting that blue plug to unclip under the steering wheel, and I had so many bubbles in the reflective sticker. Best advice, use some compressed air to blow away any dust particles, as they will create bubbles that cannot be squeegee’d out. Thanks for this install video, it was helpful!

I’ve had the Oem audio for 4yrs now. It’s pricey but I love it. I have the driver side subwoofer and like that it sits flushed and doesn’t take up much space. The sub can also lift out to allow access to the bottlejack/tool kit

Thanks for the great video! What does the HUD screen look like from the outside? Is it a large dark square on the windshield or is it clear to where it looks just like the windshield?

Unfortunately its neither, it’s a semi chrome reflective sticker. That’s how the digital signals reflect on the inside.

It does. It reads the door sensor, Rpm, tire sensor and a few others.

I just added this tyo my new 2023 4runner today. It is bright and very easy to see even in full sunlight. A big bonus is that it uses the vehicles GPS sensor to accuratley display the actual speed. I have 285's instead or the OEM 265 tires and this display indicates 2-3 MPH faster at 50 mph than the runner's speedo. Nice to have the correct speed displayed with this. I like it for that reason but.......to cycle through and use the setting is a total bi**h! I don't even want to try to work with the wonkey settings. With that said, I'm still glad I installed it to use only the screen this video is showing.

Hello! Just installed this on my ‘17! It’s awesome but idk how to change it from km to mph. Can you tell me how and does it show turn signals too? I saw one that did but I’m not sure if this one does! Thanks in advance and great video! This is what we used to guide us! Thanks for that😊😊😊😊

The film helps reflect the reading to the glass so that it is visible during the day. The display is readable at night without the film but it’s faint.

I haven’t had any turn signals issues. It’s been working perfectly ever since the install. Is it working sometimes or not working at all? What year is your runner?

I wonder how this device would hold up sitting in the hot Florida sun all day. I feel like that little display screen would take a beating! Any issues yet with heat from the sun? Also, have you noticed a difference with audio quality from that speaker, since the device blocks it a bit?

There’s no wear from the sun. I’ve had it on over a year and this year has been blistering hot, no issues thus far. As far as audio quality, it has vents so there is no blockage on audio whatsoever

I was made aware some states on the east coast have their registration there. Im not sure if you can mount your registration lower or higher than the HUD Display

You may want to check out the connection. Perhaps test the 12v + to see if it’s still power in the line

Unfortunately the display doesn’t adjust. I’ve heard some states have the emission stickers in that location.

Just installed mine. But For some reason the turn signals doesn’t indicate in the HUD. Also one of the drawbacks is how it’s such an eyesore looking at the reflective film from the outside.. lol

It’s a 2018 Sr5 premium. And yeah I’ve reached out to them. Waiting for a response ! Other than that it doesn’t bother me nor a deal breaker if the feature isn’t compatible. Everything g else works, warning signs, opened door signs etc.
