Not sure if I miss understood video but if you pulled off this build inside of eight days that is impressive

Just found your videos, I’m currently building a 93 blue 4Runner, SAS 5.29 gears, arb air locked for the front, locked rear, stock 3.0 for now, just started the assembly yesterday still tons of work to do but watching your videos is giving me extra motivation to get it done so I can go play lol

Get her done, it’s snow season! I ran the 3.0 for one season worked just fine. But I eventually swapped over to the 3.4 and it’s a world of a difference!
@billypettit71322 жыл бұрын
@@pnwexplorer5343 I have a donor 3.4 here that will eventually make its way in just trying to get it up and running again to enjoy it for a few before I sink more time and money into it lol

Now that is what I call front diff articulation. This is a very appearing vehicle. Great job and the owner and/or builder should feel proud to own and build a sweet SAS Toyota like this. Great job 👍 and keep on keep'n on. Absolutely a thing of beauty.

PNW Explorer, are you running Toyota High Steer on this 3 Link?
@joeyd78654 жыл бұрын
What 3 link kit did you use. 8 days? Dang that's quick. Good job
@pnwexplorer53434 жыл бұрын
Joey D No kit just pieced it together. Mostly trail gear hangers for the frame, ruff stuff for the axle side brackets and all ruffstuff heims.

I linked both axles in a day what took you 8 days???
@terrymick24792 жыл бұрын
Just curious, why would you cut out the 4 link rear for leaf springs. Thx
@pnwexplorer53432 жыл бұрын
The rear was never designed for 4 link from factory. I chopped off the factory Chevy 1 ton width leaf perches and brought them in to fit within the toyota frame.

@pnwexplorer53434 жыл бұрын
Dawson Folk sure thing, what’s your question?
@dawsonfolk65464 жыл бұрын
Did you need to relocate your steering box how did you determine the height of the upper shock mount
@pnwexplorer53434 жыл бұрын
Dawson Folk steering box can be left in place if you are keeping the axle centered to where the original suspension sat under the frame. Shocks will have to be determined after you have most the suspension setup. Then you’ll have to measure for how much room you have to build a shock hoop and from there to determine what size of shock you want to run.
@dawsonfolk65464 жыл бұрын
PNW Explorer did you end up reinforcing your shock hoops at all. By that I mean a cross bar connecting the 2 hoops
@pnwexplorer53433 жыл бұрын
@@dawsonfolk6546 yes i did later after buying a tube bender, but i did run without for quite some time.

It's not that hard. Did a frame swap on mine in 5 days. Did a 3.4 swap in 9 hours but it was our 3rd swap together with my friend, so we were already in the zone. From running with the 3.0 to running with the 3.4 no prob.
