First of all thank you for taking the time to show us all these features. You are correct! My 2019 Tundra and 2018 Highlander are the very opposite from my new 2024 Rav4. I should have watched this earlier! Thanks again.

@stevenwelchtoyota I had a 2019 Toyota Avalon with automatic headlights and high beams. With the automatic high beams enabled, when I pushed my stalk to the high beam position, it would enable both the high beams and the automatic high beams. With my 2023 Toyota Sienna, when I put the stalk to the neutral position, that enables the automatic high beams. I don't suppose I can have that changed so it'll do the automatic high beams with the stalk in the high beams position? I don't necessarily agree with the automatic high beams algorithms so I prefer to have my control of it so as to not dazzle the oncoming traffic.

Could you do this as model specific as our 23 4Runner may not follow this we are thinking. It would be very helpful to have the safety sense features on the specific model vehicle. We were looking at Highlander for years and knew some of it but features are very different to 4Runner. That may be a large undertaking but we would love it! Thanks for what you do!

Holy crap....how complicated can they get for something that can be just an on/off switch. Ridiculous. I was going to be in the market for my first Toyota this spring (Rav4) and this and no spare tire might just end my interest. I am 72 yrs old and like to be in control of my machine not it being in control for me. Thanks Mr Welch, just discovered your channel and now a subscriber

Notice when driving less than 25 Mph around the neighborhood causes the auto high beams to change to low beams. This is with no other vehicles around. Driving 2018 Highlander, not sure if it model, year, or speed specific. Thanks for the video.

Steve- I have the RAV4 hybrid that has Auto on stalk plus the button. On dash sometimes the indicator lights on dash for Auto and daytime running lights don’t come on. Is there something shorting out?

Do i need to have the blue light high beam setting to be on always for the automatic high beam to work ? Or if i havbe the Auto high beam setting on, i dont need the high beam blue light setting to be activated ?

I just got a 2024 Rav4 XLE Premium and can't figure out why the headlights are on during a sunny day and the front LED running lights are off. I thought the running lights were suppose to be on and no headlights needed to be on in the daytime? Very confusing.

How do I turn off the automatic high beams on my 24 sequoia? It flashes too much. I only want the automatic high beams when I push the stick forward. When it’s In normal automatic mode I just want it to turn off and on the headlights

That is why people keep shining me on the road. They're car doesn't react and lower the beams for my HID low beam headlights. Because mine are already directed down and shielded from blinding oncoming traffic. So I get blinded by them, unless I toggle my high beams. Then I am blinding them.

I have this on our 22 Sienna and we absolutely HATE it. On our first road trip we couldn't figure out how to disable it. We would NEVER use it. It's super annoying and not suited to driving in areas with a lot of traffic.
