Hi there! 🙂 👋 I have D7 with eeprom kit. And when connected to scanner, it is recognized by software. But I don’t have the cable with the clip for onboard connection. There are plenty inexpensive kits like that sold online, but I was just wondering if they will work for automotive jobs. (Type chips, leg spacing ETC) I just like to have it in my case. I have done some eeprom reprogramming on electronics games years ago , so I have some experience doing it. Just need to know what clip cable to buy to have it around. Who knows!? Try just starting up the truck .. cycle 2-3 keys from Off to on each time .. one by one.. if you just have one key from off to on 5x with the last time leaving it on

@my keys automotive I have the key tool max and the mini obd 2. I have 2014 Prius with no smart keys left. Work mechanic got me an OEM key. I followed the smart box reset steps. But the nee key doesn’t register when I follow the steps. Is there a step or a tool that Im missing? Thank you!! I looked for your email but couldn’t find where to get it.

Great info and video bro! I didn’t think I could or even wanted to do eeprom keys but these videos help shine some light on what seems to be a dark avenue for some. I run a shop and I do own key tools (cutting machine, programmers, eeprom tools etc.) but eeprom is something I’ve never done and I’m not the best solderer by any means lol .. I appreciate this clear and instructional video so now I’m thinking maybe I can do this!

Ok so i reflashed the immo ecu chip to a virgin state (keys are ready to be programmed).. that means I cleared all the old keys out of the system! Hope i cleared up things for you.

@@MYKEYSAUTOMOTIVE yes it does! Once you flash virgin, does that put car in auto learn mode? You did IMMO OFF? New keys gets learned to car when inserting and turning on car? Or is there a different procedure?

@@pouncerminned863 yes it puts the vehicle in auto learn.. key have to be learned manually(onboard) there's different techniques I usually switch ign on to off 5x and that programs the first key .. or cycle one key at a time .. every car is different but yes you can program keys with programmer!
