Bought the Citroen version for my wife after a disastrous Mercedes A class, car was meant to be with us for 2 years max so we could save for a better car. Now we’ve had it for almost 9 years, use it as my daily for work.

Another car and driving review, smooth professional and as comprehensive as you could want. I personally prefer small cars, but here in NZ large SUVs are becoming ever more numerous, as are large utes. Thank you again, your reviews are consistently top notch, and very nicely presented and filmed in beautiful English settings. My own Nissan cube Z12 continues to be a delight to own and drive. Keep them reviews coming!.

10 years ago our used Renault Megane broke down so we bought a C1 from new thinking will just sell it on after a couple of years. We did bought a larger second car but ended up still driving the C1 everyday. 10 years on it has no rust, no problem and I keep discovering little surprises from this awesome little Toyota engine, including it being capable of reaching 110mph!

what speed do you change gears at?
@rinima858 Жыл бұрын
@@adamek9750 can't remember exactly but 3rd gear should be able to bring you up to 75 before reaching 6000rpm, then 4th can take you to 95mph without too much problem. If conditions are good you should be able to reach 100 and up. 4000-5000 gives you the best power and then starting to sap after 5000. Don't bother with 5th as it's for cruising at 70mph and will drain your top speed. Use quality fuel not supermarket ones. I found BP fuel works best with the little engine.

@@adamek9750 sorry scrap the 3rd gear reaching 75. It's been a while so I couldn't remember exactly but today I had a chance to get onto motorway and it's actually 3rd gear for 90mph. Once you are on 4th it will struggle so stay on 3rd as long as you can before reaching 90mph if you are aiming for top speed.

i like the design of toyotas from 2010-2017. the keen look design was the best but then they cocked it up with the corolla hatchback

Toyota went wild after car magazines were regularly calling Toyota designs 'too safe' and 'boring'. Akio Toyoda said that he had enough, no more 'boring' cars.

I bought a well-maintained 2013 model recently and it leaks everywhere when it rains. Gear linkage feels flimsy, like it's been made from wire coathangers. Indicator stalk has stopped working properly. Definitely not manufactured to Toyota's usual high standards. It does drive well in the city though.
@v.kut730727 күн бұрын
Does not sound so well maintained, mine from 2012 no issues with leakage or flimsy gear linkage, if you mean wobbly gear stick that is standard. Mine has 130k Kilometers and the first mileage indicator broke at 60K KM. Btw. I don't think mine is well maintained either.

Used to love my 107. Ran into fuel theft, then some fuel pump issues, long story short I switched to a Ford Fiesta. More stable car and less noise on the highway. Can't match the fuel economy unfortunately.

As a toyota mechanic, dont buy this death trap shitbox. The engines tend to drink oil like there is no tomorrow, rear lights will contain water over time, trunk will leak over time, rear brake slave cylinders go bad all the time and the rear wheel bearings might too.

@@ibextone2186 the KGB40 is a much better Aygo honestly, the 1KR engine is much better (cured the engine oil consumption problem) and chassis is much improved overall. The new Yaris 1.5 hybrid is a great car as long as you dont let it sit too long, battery is super small so if you only drive once every week and short distances mostly
