YES - Please wait to each later useable technology!! Later is better. Don´t use existing electric cars. Thanks - Your Fossil Fuel Lobby

Hydrogen is definitely the most logical and environmental choice for the hopefully near future. The only problem to solve was that H2 was using too much energy (including from fossil fuel sources) to produce, making it a non sense, but using renewable truly clean energy as a source (wind, solar etc.), then H2 is a no brainer as far as they are secure, while EV cars will pose a massive environmental challenge as soon as the batteries will need to be disposed. While petrol heads are just stuck in the past, irrelevant, enough said.

hydrogen or gasoline cars requires manned petrol stations whereas electric chargers don't need anyone but the customer to plug in the charger. No anxiety related to finding an open gas station. I was not too convinced about having an electric vehicle before owning one. Now, charging is no longer a concern. I actually rarely need a charging station since I have a level 2 at home and rarely do long trips. Even during long trips, I need a break sometimes and stopping at a charging station provides this opportunity to take a break. The only opportunity I see for hydrogen technology is that I could probably convert my Jeep Grand Cherokee and avoid buying an electric pickup so I can go camping with our camping trailer. The petrol sound is a lack in certain EV, but the economical incentive is really surpassing the need to hear "vrrooom".

Come on, how to do the hydrogen pipeline/logistics in the US? Construction costs are insanely prohibitive and legislation is... maybe next century.

What happens to used electric cars? Who recycles EV batteries? What is the actual ecological impact of producing batteries?

Really!?! Led Zeppelins exploding on freeways everywhere 😆🤨. What is real are hydrogen charging stations. When power goes out, hydrogen powered charging stations will be able to provide 18-minute fast charges.

Electricity is cheap and everywhere. Hydrogen is not.

Hydrogen is readily available and easy to generate. It’s more expensive at the moment, but with development it will be very inexpensive and likely less expensive than the trillions of dollars needed to upgrade our electric infrastructure to handle every vehicle on the road being electric. Electric is fine, but moving every vehicle in the U.S. to all electric will be far more costly than most people realize.

@SoonerMatt I'm not anti hydrogen, and I do think it will have a place. Maybe some places in the us would be better off. But to install an effective hydrogen refueling infrastructure is also very costly. Public charging is already available and expanding. Some places with underdeveloped electrical infrastructure might suffer , but remember, people also have the option to charge at home and on off peak. Hydrogen vehicles aren't as efficient and have their own technical issues to master while battery tech has improved a lot and as we move forward, new battery tech will make charging times far less and less frequent as the battery range goes up.
