This video is great! Quality presentation from an experienced mechanic. I've never fixed anything on cars before, but I've just ordered a brush box, and feel confident that I can do this myself, after watching this video. Thanks!

Thanks a lot I have done this myself !!! I live in Tijuana México ( Mexican border city to San Diego USA) and found the terminals for $110.00 Mexican pesos (around $ 8.00 US dollars) The cheapest starter I found was an Auto zone starter for $75.00 US dollars so I saved me 67 bucks, once again thank you I'll subscribe to your channel.

Thank God I came across this. I accidentally removed armature on my denso starter for Toyota Estima and for the life of me was unable to put the armature back in as it would hit the four copper bushes. I tried the 2 screws at the top of the starter but these are rock solid and I didn't think it would help anyway. After this video, I know I have to crack open those two screws to remove the br

I had trouble with the ratcheting device on the starter shaft in an '05 Camry. The grease was so thick that it would hold back the ratcheting pawls in cold weather, allowing the ratchet to slip. I was unable to access the pawls because the ratcheting device was stamped together, so I liberally oiled it with light lubricants, which I think diluted and flushed out some, if not most, of the heavy grease. Hopefully the resulting mixture will stay thin enough to allow the return springs to push the pawls into position even in the coldest weather.

Hi that was a very interesting video. I have a problem with my starter motor (CELICA 1.6 LIFTBACK STI-U9 1990) the starter sometimes starts without a problem , but last couple of month it often only starts when I give it a push (holding the starter key and letting the car roll down hill putting it in gear and letting the clutch go) then the starter kicks in and starts the car. What do you think is the problem with my starter motor? I have read something about dust of the clutch-plate could be causing it. But I do not know. Have any suggestions? Thanks Chris
