This really helps I recently got backed into by a trailer hitch I think and left a nasty big dent definitely worth doing myself. Saves a good $300+

Hey man I recently damaged my 2018 Toyota corolla and it is just so expensive to take it to get it fixed so I plan on doing it myself since I only need to replace the lower grille and maybe the upper grille. I was so stressed about how I would take the bumper off and this video was the only one I could find explaining it properly. Thank you so much. Also I would like to ask are there only clips to remove the grille from the bumper and would I need any special tools to remove it?
@ScarzCarz3 жыл бұрын
thank you for the view. no special tools needed. i know i didnt show it but its not that complicated once you get it off. most TOYOTA grils are either held in by plastic tabs or a mix of small philips and plastic retainers. they are very easy to work on. 10 millimeter socket a flathead for push pins, and just incase a philips.

me too, I just hit a deer with my 2018 corolla, damaged the hood, grille and upper bumper and was gonna cost me a lot of money, over 8k estimate which is a JOKE !!! so I've decided to buy the items from the junk yard and do it myself, it's all about learning and just being creative, why would another man b paid a zillion amount of $ when you can learn the tricks and just do it yourself, we're men !!!

Hi bro i would like to remove my front bumper do i need to remove the battery connection? I saw another video saying be careful with the airbag sensor in the bumper cause it might deploy if the battery is connected
@ScarzCarz3 жыл бұрын
sorry for late response. there is no need to disconnect the battery for bumper removal. only sensor on the bumber would be the radar which hides behind the emblem, disconnect that and foglights if equipped.

Hey guy that made the video i got a 2017 toyota corolla se and im repairing it after an accident, now i been looking at bumper removal videos to find wherea plug goes behind the bumper, everything in your video is plugged into the car but there is one extra plug (2 wire small plug) and i cannot find where that plug goes so my thing is it is probably missing, you wouldn't happen to know what that plug is for would you? Like i said everything thats in your video is already plugged in

Thank you for viewing and commenting. There's a good chance it's for the ambient air sensor. The sensor usually sits on metal tubes just before a/c condenser, it can be seen through lower grill of bumper. Sometimes even metal bumper reinforcement, under bumper. But it feels like it's for the ambient air sensor. Also I've seen Toyota put harness that attaches to fog light covers that go to nothing. Alot of vehicles are pre wired for factory add ons. But I feel strongly without looking its the ambient air sensor
@HyperSin Жыл бұрын
@@ScarzCarz i thought that to unfortunately tho the ambient air sensor is plugged in and functioning inside the car without fail
@ScarzCarz Жыл бұрын
@@HyperSin could the vehicle be equipped with radar? It usually plugs in behind the emblem.
@HyperSin Жыл бұрын
@@ScarzCarz yes it does have the anticollision thing behind the radar which was broke but plugged in
@ScarzCarz Жыл бұрын
@@HyperSin man. Its getting harder to figure out without touching it. I have seen plenty pre wired for factory upgrades, could be that. But me, I would double check anything the accident affected. From headlights to washer fluid container, any a/c radiator connections. If all checks out then it's a pre wire
