Maybe people that don’t have any other choice and need a good reliable car for work. With the cost of groceries and everything else, I know very little people who have thousands of dollars just laying around for a down payment.

We rented a 2023 Corolla, and I really liked it, so I started looking into them. They started at $21k, which got my attention considering what you get: a big screen, safety features, remote start, a great sound system, adaptive cruise control, and excellent MPG. I kept thinking about it. I wanted my wife and kids in something safer than our 2008 Hyundai Accent, so we finally went and got it. We couldn't be happier. I suggested a minivan, but she's not ready for that yet. 😂 That's probably the only thing I could complain about-it's a little small, but they are great cars: inexpensive and reliable.

If you need a 6 year loan on a Toyota Corolla, you can’t afford a new car
@kevinkidneyy9 ай бұрын
if it get paid off then dont matter this car will last 300k or more even if you paid 5k more

Toyota Corollas are not the cheap econoboxes they used to be in the past. Nowadays, even the cheapest base trim 2024 Corolla LE is 25-26k including taxes and fees. If you choose a higher Corolla trim with more features or the nightshade package, you can easily end up spending 30k otd. Combine that with high interest rates and a 6 year loan sounds attractive

@@kevinkidneyy ok that doesn’t negate the fact that signing a 6 year loan is just straight dumb cmon now

In this day and age, who the fuck can afford a car anyway? Used car prices are just as ridiculous
@johnkonde19758 ай бұрын
Nice breakdown though I noticed you didn't include doc fee, registration fees etc. Those are usually mandatory and combined can add a cool $1000 to the out the door price. Especially on an extremely high demand and low supply vehicle like the Corolla, there is very little chance of scoring any type of discount to neutralize the doc fee or any other fee. In fact, here in Dallas TX, most Corolla buyers are still paying thousands over MSRP. Unfortunately new Corollas are not the cheap affordable cars they used to be in the past

My 2016 S model has 236,000 miles. If you flush the CV, change the oil, and do the top engine clean when needed; they'll last a long time.
