What the FJ needed was a sun roof and removable roof options. Great ride but in can seem rather dark. If you're not in the front seats one can feel claustrophobic.

No it’s not a scam. It’s still in many countries with minor to no changes. Like many land cruiser types 70 series, Toyota changes nothing about their heavy duty off road models. It’s sometimes frustrating to some customers but for sure this wouldn’t wok in the US. I think this is why the FJ and the 70 series won’t sell much in US and Toyota knows it.

They should replace the V6 to a new turbo deisel engine with lower displacement to reduce the insurance cost and MPG consumption. The V6 has a drinking problem. I love the style though.

That's not even true about it being noisy. An FJ Cruiser has no road noise or wind noise (below 60mph) or extraterrestrial rattling like Chevys. FJ's are really tight. The only noise you will hear is the engine and It seems that Toyota did that on purpose. Also an FJ cruiser ride is by far the softest of all 4 wheelers.

@@jjack6896 Well I bought my 2014 FJ brand spankinr new it isn't used and abused like yours. You need to take it in and have it fixed. My FJ has no road noise and no wind noise under 60mph. But I can hear the engine when I'm accelerating but while cruising its extremely quiet. Take it personally I don't give a shit!

Vaya mierda de esfuerzo que hicimos los usuarios de este vehículo, mandamos un culo de solicitudes pidiendo que se eliminen las 2 puertas estúpidas y pequeñas de los asientos posteriores y simplifiquen el nuevo modelo a dos puertas con acceso por la puerta posterior (como los fj de antaño) y que pongan los asientos traseros de forma longitudinal así se tendría más espacio de carga y mayor capacidad de pasajeros. Vaya mierda de diseño, no cambio en nada ni para bien o mal 😒
