Solid review. 2019 finally offers CarPlay! This also has a 360 surround view and that’s not offered in the new Honda Accord. The Kia Optima SXL or whatever they’re calling the highest trim now, does offer surround view and ventilated seats.

That's great to hear! These were basically the only issues we had with the 2018 model, so if they're getting those features for the next model year this will easily be a top contender for the #1 spot on our 2019 list.

I think you’re being a little dramatic. I’ve seen worse on lower quality content from other KZbin channels. Check out any of our content from February onward, we’ve switched back to our older camera and that distortion is pretty much non existant now.

We're hoping to be able to film more, as much as we want to make the classics happen we're hoping we aren't going to disappoint a lot of people. We've had a very hard time with the locals who want us to pay them to feature their cars, so we're not going to reach out to anyone directly anymore. We have a number of vehicles scheduled for March from friends we've worked with before, so we're hoping to get some momentum from those videos and work on getting people interested in letting us do theirs.

I really like the Camry. Hoping they provide android auto in the next refresh. If not there are aftermarket screen mirroring adapters that will do the trick. This lets you use any app on your phone and should cause less software problems as the years go by. I wish all cars would just install screen mirroring.

4:36 - jump up to the XLE V6 trim? I thought the XSE version is better than the XLE, especially with the red leather seats?
@PRNTestDrive
@PRNTestDrive 6 жыл бұрын
They're both similar, but the XSE is technically second from the top, we believe the S is for Sport, L is for Luxury. The XLE would add actual navigation and less sport-oriented seating, along with a slightly different front end.

Perpetual Radio Networks I disagree. If this was my test the Camry would win because it has what I want as a driver. I don't not need a ton of features that's I'm never really going to use. The Camry has what's important and what matters the 360 camera is worth its weight in gold. Not to mention add in the Camry reliability record that the Kia does not have and the Camry is a clear winner.

there's a problem with alfa romeo stelvio due to premium and sporty interiors, amazing driving, very quick (0-100 in 5.7 is not a joke for a 4 cylinder suv), if you drive it, you probably will sell your cx 5 for a stelvio :D

that navigator system... someone try to tells toyota that's quirks are not cool on a mainstream car like a camry... let quirks maybe for the gt 86 :D but the exterior and interior design in the new generation camry are soo cool, i never see a quad pipe exhaust on a toyota and the central console is very modern looking 8spd automatic is finaly available, the previous generation still used a patethic 4 speed automatic like 80's about the rear central armrest, i guess is like a small piece of central seat folded down like other mainstream toyota cars, soo bland that i always forgot to use. 300hp is certainly a lot for a fwd car, ok is not a vtec so you cant said "kick in yo" when you floor it but a v6 still interesting for such a car.

Haha! I don't think many people are saying anything kicks in with the new Accords now, but we're ready to have our minds changed. Either way, this is definitely an interesting update for Toyota that I think will help them, there's a lot going for it to get loyal buyers on board, and in a few years if they roll out the features we'd like to see they'll be able to pick up a lot of new customers.

I think auto makers are going to have to push their consumer cars into the AWD realm if they want their mid-size sedans to survive. The 2019 Nissan Altima will have AWD, and the 2018 Ford Fusion Sport does too. I think that's going to be the big feature to make or break this segment.

Once AA/AC become standard on all cars, we’ll stop highlighting it as a feature. But since major players like Mazda and Toyota aren’t on board, we will continue talking about it as a plus or negative on what we feature. aside from our rant about the useless navigation on this car, I don’t believe we spent more than a few seconds mentioning Android Auto/CarPlay does the exact same thing.

Now check APR% for 2023 GR86 which is 60 mos.@ 8.59% as each dealership has its own TFS APR% and you would think APR% be the same for any vehicle, it is not. Never tell the Dealer/Salesperson you are paying all in cash. You are generally able to negotiate a lower price as MSRP is not Dealer Invoice Cost. Chances are you could get $500 to $3000 off. Don't like the Offer or Price, go to other Dealerships and shop around. MSRP is the norm since COVID-19 has hurt dealerships. Dealer markups on cars, just walk away from the place. Don't play the Salesperson game and be careful of the Numbers game. Get everything in writing if promised something and have it signed by a Dealer Manager or Finance person. Do not rely on the Salesperson having the authority to offer you something since in reality they can't. Never sign anything without reading and thinking it over, need more time, go back another day. Most Deposits are Non-Refundable. Dealer minimal is usually $1,000. Avoid making a deposit on the 1st day as the car should be there tomorrow. Common sense and smart wise. Give yourself time, anxiety and being impatient causes rush decisions. The Salesperson will pressure you because they will say, can't promise you it will be here later or tomorrow. They want your money now and your signature on the contract. TFS way of ripping people off by increasing ARP every January. Beware of Toyota's famous "QC Holds" aka Quality Control delays. The new way in the last few years to shaft you over. The day the Toyota Dealership Finance Manager runs your Credit Check through Toyota Financial Services "TFS" you have a 30 Day window on the current APR. If you let the Credit Check go passed the 30 Day mark, your APR agreement is Expired. TFS will then issue a higher APR aka higher Interest Rate. You can go to your own bank or credit union for a pre-approved loan hopefully their APR is less than TFS. Dealership markups on cars are B.S. (don't pay and walk away), fake increase as We Put Nitrogen in the Tires (Prove it), They will attempt to sell you Accessories, Warranties, Paint Protection, and Underbody Rust Proofing. Be careful of who the 3rd Party Service is. The dealership gets a Commission on selling you 3rd Party Services and offers you Zero coverage because it is not a Toyota or Dealership provided Service being performed by them. You are best to seek and get the Services you want on your own terms. Don't let the Dealership get a Commission on the same service you could obtain for a Cheaper Cost by going there yourself. Toyota has been in the business of App Subscription Plans. After the Trial Period, do not Renew as you should cancel them because they are not needed or required. Except for REMOTE START because the car computer is rigged not to work unless you pay for the plan. Another Toyota ripoff scheme. $80 per year. Please consult with Toyota as this may change in the future and require no payment. **Automotive News reports that starting in 2023, buyers of new Toyota and Lexus vehicles will get a 10-year free trial period for the company’s Safety Connect and Service Connect systems. **As long as you equip your new Toyota or Lexus with the company’s new infotainment system, you get 10 years free. For Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto get the Ottocast U2-X Pro dongle for $99, it works great. If you really want a Toyota VSA warranty, you think the cost is too high, call as many Toyota Dealers as you want in the country "USA" until you get a nice low price. Your dealer wants $2,500 for 7 year / 100K miles Platinum Plan, call around to other dealers as might get the same plan for $1,900 maybe as low as $1,600. Huge mistake, never ever Trade-In a vehicle, it is like going to the Pawn Shop. Sell your car Privately or may consider giving it free to a family member. Never sell to a friend unless they know everything you have done to the car and they know what is possibly wrong with it. Selling to a friend may end your friendship. For example, your 2015 Vehicle you paid $35K, and in 2023 is worth $20K. Dealer offers $14K as Trade-In, you just lost a possible $5K to $6K in your own pocket.

As someone who works in sales at a dealership I can tell you two things, our new vehicle interest rates are set nationally and that's what we offer, we don't market them up. Paying cash won't get you a better deal, dealerships make money on 'the back end' of the deal through financing, you're likely going to get a better deal on the vehicle price if you finance, that way if gross comes off the front end, there's room to make it back on the back end.
