Im looking to make a purchase a bday present to myself next october. So if Toyota makes a Camry GR, and it has 380hp-400hp, and AWD, and they msrp it at $43k im in. Of course I will not be paying any crazy markups, I may consider $3k above sticker but no more than that.

I had a 96 & 09 Camry with a manual, I would love to have a new Camry with a manual transmission. In fact since Camry doesn’t come in manual transmission anymore, I was looking at getting an Accord with a manual, so I’m going to wait a little to see it they do!

I think GR really seeks to make more power with less work by adding snails. But I would really, *really* love to see a naturally aspirated GR Camry with the 350 HP number you mentioned

It is amazing that: there is talk about Toyota making fun cars (not rebadged Subarus, BMWs, or Mazdas), anyone is developing new ICE vehicles, and anyone is developing sedans. A few years ago, I would have thought all of the above would be gone forever.

They can’t do that because emissions rules. They need to stick with the most fuel efficient setup possible. Perhaps they could drop in the same engine from the Corolla. I would rather them do a turbo on the 4 cylinder though. I just hope they will do it on the 8th generation because I’m pretty sure the 9th will be ugly.

Toyota Gazoo Racing needs to fuck around & make a bunch of awesome cars like: - GR Corolla Morizo (sedan): Same as GR Corolla Morizo but with more power - GR Camry Morizo: GR Camry but with V6 from GR010 Hypercar (same amount of power, too; gotta make the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing nervous) - GR 4Runner: 4Runner TRD Pro with turbos (400-450 or even 500+ hp) & even more powerful off-road capabilities GR Tacoma: Same as GR 4Runner - GR Harikēn: Spiritual successor to the Lexus LFA & potential arch-nemesis of the upcoming Nissan R36 GT-R (GR010 engine & electric motors with even *_MOAR_* power)
