The prices differences between Canada and the US on the Subaru are pretty hard to explain - it's something over $8K US. Different importers with different profit goals?

I gotta go BRZ tS. I prefer its front end and Subaru vibe as a whole over toyota. nonetheless both are fantastic drivers cars in an age of bloated vehicles. lightweight rwd manual option, set up for handling is the perfect recipe

FWIW, you don't need to opt for the boy race graphics of the Trueno to get the brake and suspension damper on the GR86. There is a separate performance package that can be added to any GR86 for a bit over $2K.

Only thing is Subaru offering me 3.9 Apr and Toyota 7.57 Apr. I like the Toyota way more not sure I can justify the Apr difference though.

Most sources I've read have your assessments reversed- that the Toyota turns in quicker, but rides rougher and is more unsettled over bumps. The Subaru was not tuned for the track, but used dual valve shocks for a better ride over harsh pavement. I own a tS and find the ride very reasonable over bumpy pavement- a must in the salt belt. No, I haven't had a chance to drive the Trueno- they just don't exist around here. The tS was an over 5 month wait after ordering. I'm not saying your assessments are wrong- I have no way of knowing. But the apparent contradictions are interesting.
