How to install Android based 9-inch touchscreen display stereo in Toyota Highlander 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 model years without original Stereo. Looks like nobody's questions in the comments are being answered, so I don't know why I'm bothering... But I need to know if the 360 degree camera (birds eye view) is retained. Every Limited trim comes with this feature and it would be a giant loss if these head units didn't retain that functionality.

I really like the look of this but no one is getting a solid answer on if the vehicle settings will still be accessible. If you need to adjust through the obd2 port or so on.

I would be interested in knowing for sure as well. I bought my wife a 2019 Limited and I was really surprised about the lack of Android Auto. I guess that if one wants this kind of head unit, we'll have to forgo any other functions set in there by Toyota. I haven`t played with it much, but asides from the rear seat intercom and the service interval reminders, is there anything on there that we couldn`t live without? I know my wife would much rather be able to listen to texts and reply by voice, and use Google maps, than have a reminder every XXX amount of Km`s about needing an oil change.

I got a cheap $180 Android Navigation unit from ebay and it does take steering controls and show vehicle settings, tpms etc. some units are in metric vs US etc. OBD connection is not required seperately.

Yeah, I want to know this too. I mean, at first glance it looks like you lose the satellite radio at least, but I'm willing to bet you lose a bunch of settings, or at least the ability to set them. Tailgate raise height, the different light settings, etc. etc.

How about the phone control at the steering wheel. Is it still functioning as normal? I tried mine to upgrade and it's sucks. I cannot answer and make phone call using the control button on my wheels.

This looks like a decent head unit. Can anyone confirm if youre still able to go into settings and adjust door locks, lights, etc? Also, since this is plug and play with the included harness, can I use my Beat Sonic bypass to be able to play movies? I prob dont mind losing some functions in order to have a nice unit and bypass combo.

Those are additional usb ports and it was 2nd thing that he plugged into the radio. You can install an external USB hard drive for more storage and mount in glove department.

The trunk height setting is on the old stereo, I wonder how are you gonna access that setting?

You can set that on the tailgate itself by holding the door at the height you want, and holding the button down for a few seconds.

I lost the backup camera once I connected the front, it work for a bit but then it lost the signal, I disconnected the front one just to see if I can regain it but nothing now, all wires are connected correctly, but still nothing, I factory reset it too but still no back up signal. Please help!?
