When you actually own one and use it for it's intended purpose you then understand why it's Australia's top selling vehicle, I bet most that bash the hilux have never owned one.

why do these poms get so pissed about the hard interiors, leather and soft carpetty shit doesnt last long when youre out camping or working lmao
@peterassel5623 жыл бұрын
Run it 4 years, detail it and that average interior still passes for okay and it still gets good money. Lots of competitors look shagged after 4 years in a mine site...

Thumbs up have driven them for 20years have 2020 Ruggedx the motor feels refined better then ever the trade in value is always impressive,price will never change my mind on my next one Hilux for life.

Mate, you can try to bag it with the hard plastics in the interior etc. I just have to say, look at how many ranger PX1’s on the road nowadays, they’re as rare as rocking horse shit! Then look at how many 6th and 7th generation Hilux’s on the road and then you’ll truly get it. If you owned one, and upgraded you’ll get it even further with the resale value. Anyway, buy a ute because the dashboard is soft - each to their own
@olivercook60913 жыл бұрын
Hiluxs are expensive because they use quality parts EVERYWHERE, all the way down to waterproof German made Deutsch electrical connectors (not cheap Chinese imitations like many other Ute's use.. even the rangers 🤫) I am a Ford ranger owner, my last car was a DMAX and I'm a mechanic and auto sparky and I have to say.. the extra money for a lux goes purely to better quality parts where some of the other makes can get away with cheap mimics.. still I do love my ranger.

Good honest review, I didn't care about the price, because I will be smiling when I trade it in on the next one, hopefully a TT V6.

In most reviews they have a big interior compared to a dmax and ranger. More room in the back.

It’s a hilux what the fuck so you expect!! If your all about smooth and fancy shit then get a sedan 🙄

They are definitely too expensive, but what I can’t get my head around is the arrogant assholes trying to charge nearly the same, the same or even more for a USED Hilux (and other cars). I mean WTF is wrong with these greedy people?!.. What do you say to them?.. “I’m sorry I can only afford a new one..” ?!..

I believe in Australia you can buy it with this load bin as a option instead of the standard one, wish we had options like these in South Africa. Hiluxes are overpriced but they sell well and hold value, so if their clientele are happy to pay then let it be.

"For someone with not a lot of off road experience, that's me" and you are doing a review of the 4x4 ? FFS Toyota really do pay for these review don't they !! You MSM fanbois really are a joke !!

What about the white smoke out the exhaust that shortens the life of the motor, might be why on there warranty they give 2 extra years on the motor

Very uncomfortable to drive. Very small interior. Centre console is far too wide causing footwell to be cramped. The footwell is so small it pushes the clutch pedal too far to the right and causes knee injury.

Best selling because the mines buy them and then flood the market, they are overpriced and Australians have never really had the choice of a full size pick up.
@alphabravo33042 жыл бұрын
Argh the Hilux, the old argument of its great on a mine site, unfortunately as a family car its an over priced vehicle that really should be selling for around 30 grand Australian and the reality is, thats what they are being bought for , all the soccer mums.

There average vehicles unless you're going off road but with plenty of alternatives for the price, we traded our car industry for in many ways and inferior car. Doey diesel engine with dpf problems ,average road handling, bland interior etc and it's real abilities only in most case's, get used once a year ,give us our muscle car heritage back any day,we could have made a more supirior off road vehicle than this and kept the job's here ,I'll hire a Landcruiser or buy a v8 petrol if I want to go off road or if I really need a duel cab and I dont love VW but what seems like a supirior vehicle and Amarok or on a budget a haval,just shows how average Australia has become in many ways. $65000 dollars for a Thai tin box and $55000 for a second hand one 🤔vehicles were meant to be cheaper when we lost tariffs and our own car industry looks that's not true ,oh well least we still build billlion dollar submarines
