The old Technic figures looks great in this truck. I have one with the motor kit. And yeah, it is a bit rough. Because of the amount of friction. the motors drain quite quickly with the little lion battery setup it has. The mainboard had delineations for 4v and 8v batter points. So this may have an 8 volt kit battery in it. I found the suspension too stiff. It broke one of the red ball joint pegs that hold the rear suspension link. Im not sure how yers didnt break considering you were much rougher handling the truck than I was after building it. -.- It is odd tho, the original pics I have seen before buying this kit, the springs were the grey ones, not the red, and the amazon listing had the red single rate spring shown. Not the dual rate that is included with the set. Honestly. I think the gearing needs to be redone a bit differently and the heavy duty diffs installed. I drive mine a bit. And I stripped an axel and tan gear in the front diff only after a few drives. Also. there is steering drag on the front where they used dark grey pegs to link the steering knuckle to the tan tie rod. If you switch them out with the light grey ones. The steering is much faster and less fiddly.

I wouldn't be surprised if they constantly change parts of the set during its production run. Seems to be the case for some brands. Good to know with the technic figures and your experience with the motor kits. I tend to freak out with motorized in general lol. Thanks for the tip as well, let's hope it helps others too!

Lego Technic and lego pieces are own by lego, so copying the mold probably not license, but nice build and planning that’s original by who ever the designer.

Ah I wasn’t sure about technic pieces. For standard pieces afaik they don’t own the patent anymore which is why there’s been an over abundant of brands lately. In any case I try to respect and just show the sets that original like this. It’s just nice to see diff designs that aren’t stolen etc.

Scottie, I like cars and really like this one even though it's probably too expensive for me. But I think you should only review those sets that get you excited.

Joe! You know you can always just buy this specific one as a second hand lol. I’ll be opening a Scottie’s garage sale pretty soon. Shipping will still suck. I actually enjoyed the set but I’m just not familiar with cars in general except they need gas and oil changes…if I’m It too lazy tires as well lol.

Great looking Toyota Land Cruiser. It is on well known and regarded in the 4X4 off road community. It can be put into a model scale. 1/6 scale would be the way to put any scale or definition to the dimension of the J40 Land Cruiser. The snorkel is very important , especially in erratic , or unpredictable weather and multiple environments. A prime example of snorkeled vehicles is the Deuce and a half in use in the military. I will get you a pic on that . In regard to other vehicles get them on scene , total vehicle guy. Looking forward to the RT - 41 set from Royal Toys . I configured mine to a SWAT vehicle. I will get you the pic over on I.M. and email. It would be a 3.0 version , I think you will enjoy the pic.

I like this design. When building technic sets it is important that you don't push the gears all the way against the bricks that don't move to create less friction (just leave just a tiny bit of room between them), and that helps to make verhicles run a lot smoother. Always turn the gears after adding more to check if everything still works smoothly because it's hard to go back if you make a mistake with a gear getting stuck, and find out after you completed the set.

I’ll keep that in mind. I’m pretty sure all my vehicles gears are stuck all the way in lol. It haunts me to go back and have to remove entire sections lol. Thanks for the tip!
