In todays video we look at how to perform a basic service on a Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series, with 4.5L 1FZ-FE petrol engine (model FZJ80R).
We cover the basic tools, parts and processes that should be followed for changing out below components, which should be changed at every service interval:

- Air Filter

Parts used:
Toyota 90915-YZZD4 Oil Filter (Alternative is Ryco Z418)
Ryco A340 Air Filter (in place of Toyota genuine 1780161030)
Toyota 90430-12031 Oil Sump Drain Plug Gasket
Castrol GTX 20W-50 5L Engine Oil x2 (7.2L required with oil filter)
Tools used:
1/2" Drive Socket Wrench
13mm and 14mm sockets (or ring spanners)
Ryco RST219 74mm oil filter cup socket (in place of Toyota genuine 0922807502 Oil Filter Wrench)
1/2" Drive torque wrench (optional)
Flathead screwdriver (or thin blade)
Minimum 8L oil drain pan
Recommended oil viscosities from Toyota Owner’s Manual, for 1FZ-FE engine at ambient temperature range anticipated before next oil change are listed below.
Note that the best oil viscosity for your vehicle will also depend on current engine age/mileage and wear.
Above -18 deg. C: SAE 10W-30
Above -12 deg. C: SAE 15W-40
Above -7 deg. C: SAE 20W-50
Below 10 deg. C: SAE 5W-30
Drain and refill capacity:
With oil filter - 7.2L (7.6 Qt)
Without oil filter - 6.9L (7.3 Qt)
