Being a desert truck, ideally replace the hoses, the fan clutch, and the heater valve as soon as possible. They always fail at the worst place. Great content.

Yeah I think all of those are on the list, they look/feel okay but I'm pretty sure they are old lol.

It’s always a gamble flushing the radiator. Never know how much crud you will get out. Great work!!

Nice...you don't necessarily need to use the Toyota red coolant. I had that in mine before but when I replaced my radiator I went to green because it is available in way more places when you are in the middle of nowhere and you need it....don't mix the two. For optimal cooling, put some foam strip on the top of your radiator between the radiator and the support so you are pulling as much air through the radiator. Nice 80.

Nice tip! Definitely gonna do that. Also I had Toyota coolant from another job so I just used it 😂

Thanks for this video! If I am flushing the block only (new radiator) where do I put the hose or the distilled water? Through the upper radiator hose?

Yes! If you've got a new gasket I would recommend taking the thermostat out, then putting the elbow back on, then flushing, but I think you could get a decent flush without that.

So did you leave the heater on the whole time after you turned the heater on until you were done?
@motor.mausGarage5 ай бұрын
Preferably heater on as you are bleeding the system (radiator cap off). This just makes sure no air gets trapped in the heater core.

@motor.mausGarage perfect! I appreciate the response. Greetings from CO!

Did you run distilled water through it before closing the block plug off? I'm in the middle of doing a flush right now that's why I'm asking. I'm also going with the Zerex Asian Vehicle Red

You can leave the plug out and flush, I believe that's what I did if I remember correctly 🤔. Zerex should be good to go 👍
