Thank you for telling us the time of extra labor on top of the front bank already. This halps us not get scammed by shops.

7:00 Brittle Plastic Breaks . For years at least once a year to twice a year .I power wash the engine in my 2020 Toyota Camry . I cover the alternator with a heavy duty plastic bag . After drying and covering the alternator again , I liberally spray 303 Protectant throughout the engine compartment and let it soak in . Of course it will attract surface dirt , which I will power wash off around 2-3 months later . I had done the same with my 2011 Toyota Camry , bought in 2013 . It keeps the plastics and rubber looking new . Though the number one purpose is to help them resist drying out and cracking , which it does . Especially for my intake manifold which is plastic .

I am trying AT 205 for plastic parts, i used 303 on my plastic kayak for 15 years now and i think it is looking new today because of that.

@johnchambers12 Ok , there is a boating version of 303 Protectant . Maybe has more protection in it , people have used it on scuba diving suits.

I would have said to replace the three coils and plugs if any of the defective ones were one of the rear of the 1-3-5 cylinder bank because of the labor involved getting to them. It would add to the cost of the parts, but it would make sense to do it since everything is apart already just to get to one of them, especially given the age of the parts.

Those ignition coil connector tabs are brittle. The connectors can be replaced with new ones quite easily but takes a little time.

Did you say it was a stored P0356? Im not sure some cheap small units can access past codes that are not active for the light

I always try to buy OEM when it matters. PCV valve, oil filters, etc, I buy direct from the dealership because it's a good price, and of course I trust the source. Yet I have to wonder how much I can trust non-dealership sources for OEM parts for cases like coils, where the price is vastly less expensive compared to the dealer. A few years ago I replaced all 8 coils in my 2UZFE with DENSO coils from a 3rd party distributor. I'm not talking about Amazon or Ebay, this is a well known auto parts company not known for selling counterfeits. These Denso coils cost a fraction of the price that the dealer charged. Engine seems to run fine so far. All I can say is I hope these coils are legit.

Peter,if you don't need the OEM Toyota parts immediately, , , try ouresman Toyota, for the best price, TTYL my Friend 👍🏻

Why? Do you want to throw money away? If it ain't broke don't fix it. What other problems will you encounter? Broke. Exhaust bolt that won't come out? The other cat might not be as easily accessible. Or any other reason. These are Toyotas. Only regular maintenance required.

Yeah, I was quoted $420 for all 6 plugs and I do trust this shop. I decided I can buy lot of tools for that and I did and did it myself. Busy work but not too hard. 😊

Another option was to swap out coil #6 with coil #4 and see if the error code shifted to cylinder #4.

Hi Petr. I just wanted to add a correction to the Sienna’s model year: It’s 2009, not 2006. -Jason

Hi Jason. I also have this engine in my Rav but with black beauty cover. Did you have any symptoms when the light was on or initially turned on? I had couple times where the vehicle is hesitating to accelerate but I didn't see any CEL or lights. Just so you know one issue will turn on the whole light system to get your attention. But I had none. I have two conditions. If I leave the car parked one hour or so the voltage will go down to 11.8 or 11.7 and I wonder if that is the reason. The alternator is good and if you start the car the battery will show 12.8 after turning the car off and 13.8 when running. But sometimes it will go down to 12.8 when running. Wonder if that is enough to make the electronic throttle not open.. coincidentally I had just filled to fill some Costco gas. Waited 15 or 20 minutes in a line and didn't see the tablet has pulled up and probably was done filling. Not sure if junk got into the injectors.

@@LAactorHey. The CEL, ABS light and stability control light were all coming on and going off for several days with NO other signs or symptoms. My wife drove the van on about day five of the warning lights thing and she experienced what she described as the van “shaking” when she was on the highway. She initially thought it was a flat tire, but when she to investigate the tires were fine. I immediately called Petr and we drove the van straight to his shop. So I never had an opportunity to do any investigating on my own. And honestly, when it comes to vehicle electrical issues, that’s nearly as comfortable an activity for me as self-surgery. So I probably would have never gotten to the point of gathering the kind of data you’re asking about, even if I had thought of it.

If it's not convenient to take the car to Peter, how about swapping coils 4 and 6 to see if the next code incident remains P0356 or changes to P0354? Repeated P0356 would indicate a problem with ECM or wiring which wasn't covered in this video.

Question for fellow viewers, , , my driver side catalytic converter became plugged because the fuel pressure regulator slowly went Bad and caused a Rich Condition, , , the passenger side cat is still good, but it's old, , , should I replace it anyway?

Could this be actually a 2007 year model? I believe these were not equipped with 3.5l engine before 2007.

The rest of those coils could last the life of the vehicle. Usually, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Generally you don't want to use any Chinese made electrical parts or sensors.

Yes indeed on janky aftermarket parts esp on Toyota and Lexus. Some may work in more basic areas, but if owner plans on keeping vehicle, not worth the gamble.
