Toyota Prado 250 GXL Tailgate Tips

I managed to get my LC300 to just beep once before it opened and once before it closed - this was done by the dealer, free of charge. Couple that with lowering the volume, it was very easy to live with.

yes I believe it is the same with the 250 , dealer can simply change it through the system

Curious to know, if you manually hold the boot the desired height required so it doesn't bang on your garage door, can you simply press and hold the close button on the rear door for a couple of seconds until it beeps and that then sets the desired height permanently? I know you can do this on Land Rover Discoverys and Range Rovers.

It works on the Lexus GX (personally tested), so I would think it works on the 250 too. It does a single soft beep to confirm after about a second of holding the close button (not the "close and lock" button).

yes I can confirm 2 quick presses it will stop the boot when it is being raised in any mode, but I found you have to push quite hard on the remote to ensure it registers the command

if you lock it without turning off the audible alert it will beep several times to get your attention, if you disable the alert , you wont get all the beeps when you lock it ,
