@bushandbeachaustralia3 жыл бұрын
I don’t have a sketch mate. From memory I used 125x65x6mm rhs for the main bar. I folded up 3mm plate for the sides. I welded angle to the 125x65 to mount it up inside the chassis then drilled and bolted it with 2 bolts per side. I also welded some flat bar tabs towards the top of the rhs to mount onto some existing captive nuts. Hope this helps

Hey mate, I have an exactly same model Prado in NZ with 280k on dash. I have to turn the key for around 5 seconds to cold start especially in winter. Already replaced battery and glow plugs and let the key in RUN position for 10 seconds before start. So do you know what's wrong with it? Thanks a lot
@bushandbeachaustralia4 жыл бұрын
Not sure mate they do seem to dislike the cold though. You could try glowing a bit longer before starting. From what I’ve read on the forums the injector pumps usually start to go somewhere around the 300k mark
@tianleimu65014 жыл бұрын
Bush and Beach Australia The injector pump seems like a little bit leaking and hopefully is that. Thanks again

Does the detroit autolocker rachet when turning (and if so how loud?)
@bushandbeachaustralia3 жыл бұрын
No it doesn’t ratchet. Occasionally it makes a Loudish crack as it unlocks. This doesn’t happen often at all though. Would I recommend one? Yep 100 percent. No lines to rip out, it’s always on so you don’t have to think about engaging or disengaging it. Only slight downside is sometimes it’s hard to turn in soft sand
