Toyota Prius being recalled 55,000 Prius being recalled just another vehicle add to the list for Toy

PLANO, Texas (April 17, 2024) -Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain 2023-2024MY Prius, Prius HEV (Prius Prime) vehicles in Japan, North America, Europe and Asia. Approximately 211,000 vehicles are involved in this recall in total, with approximately 55,000 in the U.S. In Water can enter and short circuit the electronic rear door latches in the involved vehicles. If the doors are not locked, they could open while the vehicle is moving or in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to occupants.
For vehicles involved, Toyota dealers will replace both right and left rear door opener switches with improved ones, free of charge.
Until the remedy is available, to help prevent the door opening if a short circuit occurs, customers in the U.S and Canada will be asked to ensure that the feature that automatically locks the doors when shifting from Park is activated.
Customers will be notified about this issue through the mail by early June 2024. PLANO,

Certain parts of the transmission may not immediately disengage when the vehicle is shifted to the neutral position. This can allow some engine power to continue to be transferred to the wheels and can allow the vehicle to inadvertently creep forward at a low speed when it is on a flat surface and no brakes are applied, leading to an increased risk of a crash.
PLANO, Texas (Feb. 27, 2024) -Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain MY22 to MY23 Toyota Tacoma trucks in the U.S. Approximately 381,000 vehicles are involved in this recall.
Welding debris left on the ends of the rear axle assembly during manufacturing could cause certain retaining nuts to loosen over time and eventually fall off, potentially causing a part to separate from the axle. If separation occurs, this can affect vehicle stability and brake performance, increasing the risk of a crash.
For all involved vehicles, Toyota dealers will inspect the rear axle assembly and retighten the axle retaining nuts at no cost to customers. Toyota/Lexus are the loving child of owners and they never admit their faults. Keep beating the shit and force more recalls via NHTSA. They should do a recall for 2azfe engine in the past but no they did not.

I don't know what's going on with Toyota any more. they don't have the most powerful engine, they don't have the best MPG, they don't have the best interior or exterior, they don't have the best info system and they don't have the best payload, but they are charging customers Gucci money. They need to step their game up and stop copying the big 3's on QC

This really sucks as states like Oregon have a EV rebate for when purchasing EVS and plugin hybrids is available for until June. I kinda doubt this will be corrected by then but here is to hoping..

They have Toyota Care for 2 yrs/25K miles. Their engines are rock solid. They either have used them elsewhere in other cars or in the lab, they test their engines thoroughly and back up their engines.

My local dealer sends me weekly update for prius I left a deposit. Status has shown arrival to vessel and delayed 3 month but email screenshot shows not arrived at dealer, but stuck at port. How were you able to receive them at dealer arrival and you saying no fix... Should I request my deposit?

Man, I'm scared. The only reason I decided to risk the first year production of the 2024 Land Cruiser First Edition is because it's made in Japan, now seeing the new Prius even getting recalled, it's no longer safe to assume Japan made is problem free. What do you say Kenny? Should I still get the Land Cruiser that's due for delivery early June?

Absolutely still get the Land cruiser is super nice ! One nicest vehicle I’ve been in a long time ! Congratulations my friend that’s an awesome truck. Plus you have a warranty I don’t think you’re gonna have any problems. These things happen from time to time. I am a little bit disappointed with Toyota, though just doesn’t seem like their vehicles have been reliable as the ones in the past, hopefully they can get it back together.
