Belt tensioner making noise or is it time for regular preventive maintenance change to beat it to the punch so that you replace it now before it breaks down on you later..Follow along..

Good video. Belt Install tip: go underneath and apply some painters tape to the a/c (front bottom) at 3 oclock and 6 oclock to hold belt in place. Now go up top and whilst pulling tensioner from top, apply belt to Alternator and slip belt of 2nd roller, once belt on Alternator then slip it back on 2nd roller. Much easier to slide it on the smooth roller.

I just did a pump/belt on one of these and that belt was a pain!Had to get a helper to get belt on from top while I used a belt tensioner tool from bottom tensioner nut head since it can be done from up or below to get tensioner moved enough.I tried doing it without tensioner tool but couldn’t do it.I guess you used an old belt?Saw another video where a mechanic had a helper also and did it this way.New belts are tougher to deal with than a more limp worn belt as far as coming off pulleys .thanks for video but belt install should have been shown to see how difficult it can be but hard to film by yourself.

It was a new belt since the Alternator was replaced too...alot of up and down under to get that belt on. But you have to do what you have to do😊

I got frustrated putting the belt back on I had to walk away for a few days. I shall attempt again using long screwdriver to hold the belt on the crank. I swear the belt shrank when I took it off to replace the alternator lol. Fingers crossed.
