How does Deceleration assist respond to sensitivity in PDA settings? Does it just change the strength of breaking or the distance it starts breaking?

Too sensitive on even lowest setting, the car can corner quite a bit more Toyota!!

Yes but using the regen from the electric motors instead of the brakes (i think)

@@Gamen4Bros Regen is short for regenerative braking, referring to regenerating power from kinetic energy, friction brakes release that kinetic energy as heat in the atmosphere, hence wasted

It's still not clear what this video is trying to explain, deceleration assist is meant to use Regen without pressing the brake pedal? Isn't that what one pedal driving is? Why complicate things?

It’s hard to understand from the video they didn’t do a good job. It’s basically passive adaptive cruise control. It’s off by default. But if you turn it on it will slightly slow your car down automatically during hard turns or if the car infront starts getting to close to you. In this mode it doesn’t drive by it self though, it doesn’t accelerate or maintain speed. That’s what active cruise control is for. This is just passive feature that slows car down a head of time if it thinks you should be slowing down. It’s def not helpful if you are used to changing lanes and over taking cars really close to them.

I don't understand why some manufacturers spend so much time trying to make feature to try and differentiate themselves and end up making something that might almost never be used, that is if it is understood by the customers and not hated
