As a people hauler the Sienna hands down. I have owned a Honda Odyssey for 15 years and the fact it has very comfortably taken my family all over the entire country and averaged 25 mpg on the highway doing it makes it far superior to the Sequoia. We contemplated a Sequoia when kid #2 of 5 came, but when I test drove it and got 13 mpg city I quickly realized as cool as the Sequoia was long term costs were going to be outrageous. Fully loaded with seven kids (3 of them adult size now) and all our gear in the back totalling easily over 1200 lbs, the Odyssey just smoothly hovers across the road and even with 193,700'ish miles still gets the job done perfectly. Now, we never needed to tow and only drove down some light dirt trails now and then, so the Sequoia never made sense for us. Concerning your 4Runner Vs Sequoia debate. That all comes down to how many you need to take with you off roading, and how "off road are you going. Outside of the GX 460 and Land Cruiser there is no better off-road vehicle that you can buy in America than the 4Runner. With that said, they're pretty damn gutless especially compared to the Sequoia. If it was me I would pick the Sequoia because I've got five kids I have to bring with me. Great video!

Right on brother thanks for sharing your feedback and experience! I agree in many ways with the Odyssey/Sienna. It's hands down the most functional and comfortable family hauler that still gets decent MPG. Only negative is its lack of 4x4 capability.

The low loading deck and the flexibility of the van just does it for me. If I needed something heavier duty I’d seriously consider a heavier duty work van. I’d only get an SUV if it did something that I needed done, better than a van. And don’t forget the value difference, everyone and their mother wants a full size SUV so it’s usually more expensive feature for feature

Agree in many ways! I’ve had two Suburbans, a Tahoe, Cherokee, several 4Runners and this our first mini van. Gotta say that I regret not getting one sooner. Many people think they’re just lame, grocery getters but they’re hands down the most functional family and utility vehicles available 🤙🏼

Sienna for sure. Can’t beat sliding doors especially on Oahu.

Definitely! Imagine if Toyota could make blend the two, the Sienna interior and sliding doors with Sequoia suspension and 4wd capability 🤯😂

Sienna hands down. We’ve got 2010 Tundra and a 2022 Sienna. When it’s family day we’re always in the Sienna. Plus the Sienna is cherry after a surf sesh and you wanna chill out in the ac while lying down.

The moment I saw those third row seats not be able to fold all the way into the floor, the Sienna won this for me. Minivans in general have an odd nature and essence to them, and that’s all the more reason I prefer them over any other vehicle. Other types of vehicles like sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, trucks, they just feel too normal to me.

I assume mpg is not a concern because those numbers will straight up send a middle class family bankrupt here in Europe. Toyota makes reliable stuff but boy anything that's not hybrid especially those old V6/V8 you'd better be American or Middle Eastern to make it work otherwise better have your own gas station.

MPG is definitely a concern, especially with the Sequoia, only averaging around 14MPG and the Sienna not far from it at 20MPG. How much is the cost of gas there in Europe?
