Toyota Solid Axle Brackets

In this episode of the Toyota Pickup Build we get the shock mounts done, finish weld the brackets from the chevy 63 leaf spring swap and get the rear axle pulled. Next up we will be starting on the rear axle and all the goodies that will be going in it. Stayed tuned for the next one!

Maybe you got another project going on at the same time, but I swear there is a nut that is backed off about a quarter of an inch, that looks like it's holding your backing plate to the axle housing. Is that an oversight, or are you working on that also. Nice looking rig. I used to have a 1980 with barely over 100,000 mi on the clock. Beautiful burnt orange!

Thanks man! The first gens are rad 🤘They still need to be removed to work on them. I just didn't want to loose the nuts so I just tossed them on the stud a little bit.
