For it to work you will need an aftermarket headunit with backup camera capability, a new aftermarket backup camera and front camera.

Since you already have an aftermarket radio, and a backup camera connected to the aftermarket radio this adapter is compatible. However since your aftermarket radio supports front camera you do not need this kit. You can simply purchase a front camera and connect it to your front camera input on the aftermarket radio

What happens when you turn on the front camera and put it in reverse? Does the backup camera override the front camera and come on?

Yes the backup camera overrides the front camera when in reverse. However while in reverse if you push the front camera button the front camera will override the backup camera

Good video of install though prices to purchase kit & camera almost 400$...Think I will keep everything stock, just way too much to spend on some mods only thing I had added to my 2017 when I bought it was an oem rubber bed matt that cost me 85$.. that's where I stop at.. the truck itself cost me a fortune as is..no more dollar$$$$$$... Happy without don't need to keep up with the jone's..

Thanks!! One more question. I ordered a new switch to fit the more elongated empty switch panel on the left side of the Tacoma’s steering wheel. However it is a push switch. Push on, push off. It does not seem to work, maybe because how the setup is constructed. Is there something that can be done to use these longer switches versus the short stubby one that comes with the kit? Thanks! I got the switch from CH4x4

If you add a DVR system you may record. However, this location is not ideal for recording as you would want to see a wider view of the front for recording. This location is good to see what is in front of your bumper where it is unseen from the front windshield.
