It would be nice if it said in the description: "If you don't know how to wire these up I would suggest not doing it." Well, damn, that's why I came to this clip, dude! Bolting a unit in is easy. I bought a used '09 Tacoma and who ever did the previous install was an idiot. I have never seen such an absolute mess, including bare wires; what looks to be negatives with positives; and the best part was the bare LIVE monster cables under both the passenger and driver's seats! And I bought this from a dealer in Austin. Fire and serious shock hazard to say the least!

Great Video! Why you didn’t use Crux SWRTY-61N Wiring Interface harness? You didn’t have to splice the factory harness then. Another question, the harness you installed, does it retain all the steering wheel controls?

This harness is much cheaper than the Crux harness if you don't want to retain the steering wheel controls or you don't have JBL. If you do want to retain the steering wheel controls you add an aswc module from metra

Just installed a double din with the same kit. But my head unit it recessed back further. It's the Atoto A6. Anyxway to make it more flush mount. It's got tiny buttons that are hard to push because it's so far back.

We use the step bit and make sure it was very snug
