Wow easy to understand and straight to the point. I have a 2007 and I thought it would be real simple and just pull off the face-plate. Boy I would have messed up my dash big time. Now I see how it's done correctly I can bet back in there and do my Bluetooth Retrofit

I know this is an old video, but Thank You so much for uploading it. My stock radio is acting up, and sometimes won't come on. I think it's a lose connection. I was kind of scared messing with it, and thought it was going to be hard getting it out. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle. In the immortal words of GI Joe. Thanks again.

Thank you for the information! You make it look easy. And I agree, the factory "head unit" is prone to failure.... mine failed shortly after I bought my truck, it would just "power off" for no reason.

I wanted to put a stock radio in to replace the original stock radio. My tuning knob activates just by touching it, and you can't use it to change stations. So, does the new radio come with that huge faceplate?

Okay, this is going to sound stupid but is the steering wheel wire harness installed at factory regardless of the tacoma having the controls on the steering wheel or not? I know, as an example, that Land Rover installs heat seat wiring even though not all of them have geared seats.

I have a 2010 , the unit works fine but the button lights will flicker at time then come on and stay on , all other functions work fine . The backlight to the display will stay lit , but all other buttons will be flickering , is there a fix , like a loose wire or fuse ?

I have a 2010 Tacoma, the only issue I have is the volume knob doe not work properly , I never used the CD player, when my phone is connected it works ok for a while then out of the blue will stop. The JBL sound system was an idea now only a memory, time for an upgrade!
