In July 2023 I bought a 2021 1794 Tundra in the Mesquite color. It had approximately 21500 miles and had been wonderfully maintained and came from Alabama. I live in northern Indiana so I was happy to find one which had not spent its first two years in the rust belt. I have had it undercoated and have added anti sway bars in both the front and rear. I plan to have the body exterior ceramic coated. I am 79 years old so I plan on keeping this Tundra until I pass on and enjoy it until then.

I too bought my 2021 Tundra Platinum in the Mesquite color in Sept 2023. It had 14000 miles on it from N. Carolina. I'm in PA. Last year for the V8 and 6 spd trans. Last truck I'll need as I'm knocking on 70 myself. Great truck.

i own a 98 T100, have for just over 15 years. It has hauled my camper, fill dirt, cow manure, building supply's, ect and currently has a 250g water tank that i use to fill my cistern regularly. I would love a Tundra but wow do they want an arm an leg for them.........I did get a Sequoia(2002) two years ago and feel that the first gen Tundra is the go to truck if you actually use it as a truck. If looks are important, which is the case for most then your list is a good one.
@megharper50775 ай бұрын
I had a 1993 T100 and am sorry I sold it. Strangely, it was better in the snow than my 2002 Tundra (still going strong and bought new). I also own a 2019 and 2021 Tundras. And I owned two 1st gen Sequoias which sadly rusted out after more than 15 years. I had a 2nd gen Sequoia and hated it because the inside got smaller. My experience is that the 1st gen Tundras and Sequoias are the best. Not for towing but for all-around practicality and reliability with the massive gas consumption of the second gen/5.7 V8. I traded that last Sequoia for a 2023 GX460 to get back to a V8 that is old-school reliable.

I think thats a good list! I personally bought a 2003 Tundra new...still drivin it daily..250 k on clock. Its an oddball so to speak..Access cab..with Tacoma runnin gear..ie...3.4 Litre V6..190 hp..5 speed manual..very few and far between. It wont win any races..21 mpg if u drive 57 or so. It has been bulletproof..vhange oil ..full synthetic..every 3500 miles. Its basic and very dependable..run forever truck..so dependable .. 21 yrs later...dont use a drop of oil..between changes...thats my pick for the best in Gen 1...Gen 1 4.7 last forever also..with diligent maintenance..but poor gas mileage. Thanx for all you do for the millions of Tundra lovers..no matter the yr👍👍

Thank you for the content. Never was a fan of the step side. Totally agree with the 2007 assessment. I’m a long time Toyota owner. I currently have the 19 Tundra SR5 TRD Off Road and a 18 Camry XSE. Both are fantastic vehicles. My previous Tundra was a 13 SR5 and also performed flawlessly. I’m still of the opinion that Toyota missed huge with the latest generation of Tundra. No front tow hook!? It’s supposed to be a pickup truck, not a SUV with a bed.

My favorite Tundra gen is the 2nd gen, especially the model years 2014 - 2021. I agree that the 2007 Tundra, for that time, was the one that put the Tundra on the map and paved the road ahead for Toyota and even Nissan. The mid cycle fresh further improved the truck and for truck purist, I think it is the best truck. Toyota, unfortunately, could not do that with the 3rd gen, but at least they were able to learn from their mistakes and came up with the new Tacoma, which in my opinion is still the best overall mid-size truck.
