Toyota Tundra Windshield Replacement

Thanks. My 2004 windshield molding was loose and I wanted to see how it came apart before diving into it and making it worse.

I have an 02, safelite refused to do my windshield today after they took it inside and seen it has two small rust blisters along the top on the roof at the edge of the rubber weather strip, said if they take it out and 20% or more is rusted they won’t even put the old windshield back in… lol I feel like it would be fine the rust spots are like 1 inch wide from what’s visible and the installer said there is precipitation in the strip and looks like it’s been leaking a long time but I’ve never seen a drop inside the truck in the last 3 years and the ceiling liner has never had a single wet spot… also it was raining and snowing today when I took it in, of course there’s water on the edge of the weather strip… lol? Idk guess ima shop around and see if someone else will do it, was considering doing it myself but idk.

My advice is never remove the label until it's installed. If it's the wrong glass or a poor fit and you want to return it, it's much easier to return when it still has the label.
