Toyota Vitz Idle Code Enabling is necessary if you disable this idle code by working on your vehicle.
How to enable this idle code:
1. Plug out all electrical plug-ins on your vehicle and turn all electrical loads.
2. Start your engine and allow the car engine temperature to rise to normal.
3. Switch the car off then leave it for about 3 minutes. (if the temperature is already at normal this step is not necessary).
4. Switch the ignition to ''ON'', then to off. To ''ON'' again then to off. To ''ON'' and start this time.
5. Press the brake then put the car in drive and wait for about 1 minute.
The car should be enabled for idle.

Designers build engines so that if the oil is not touching the dipstick but still enough is there to lubricate the engine the light will not come on unless it is critical.

This should not affect the starting of any vehicle as long as the engine oil is touching the dipstick and even beyond this engines still starts.

I was told that when parking any vehicle one must press brake then wait for the vehicle to stop completely, after pull the hand brake up and put the vehicle in neutral. After, put the vehicle in park and release the brake. Is this true

Once the vehicle comes to a complete stop with the foot still on the brake slide the shifter in park pull up the hand brake then release the foot brake. This is how I practice it maybe other persons do it a bit differently.

Once your vehicle idles smoothly it means your idle code is activated. In newer vehicles to enable a idle code just turn it on when the engine is cold and leave it throttling for 5 minitus and thats it, your idle code is enabled.

You definitely need a mechanic to check this problem. It could be as a result of anything that can go wrong. 1. While starting the vehicle get someone to pull out each coil pack from the spark plug and listen for the arcing sound. If arcing is given for each plug you may have a fuel problem.

you are confusing people with idle code.i will explian, when you remove your battery cable or have change battery, your car program is mess up, your car with vibrate roughly when idle. so you need to do what the video says, you need to let it sit on Drive mode for minimum 5 mins, it will re program itself and will idle normally. if you dont do this step after chaging battery, your car will never re program itself and will continue to vibrate on road with drop rpm, engine will vibrate so much

Once your check engine light is off this means that your electrical system is good. The problem is a partly clogged system. 1. Ceaned the injectors, fuel pump filter or replace the fuel filter in the engine bay. 2. Clean the EGR valve

This is a software installed in the ecm to manage the engine operation while it's ideling. The software will always remain in the ecm by can be disabled if the ignition at anypart is disconnected.

If you switch on your vehicle after it was parked for more than a hour the temperature indicator should not show red. The indicator should show green. If it shows red after being parked an hour or more something could be wrong with the indicator circuit.

If you notice on the gear selector in the automatic transmission Toyota Vitz/Yaris there is this D S slot for selecting drive or a lower gear ratio S. 1. When you select D for drive you are ordering the transmission to select the best gear ratio for the speed of the vehicle. 2. When you select S you are ordering the transmission to select only a set of lower gear ratio. The transmission will not select any gear out of this ratio configuration.

Check your spark plugs if they have oil on them. Also remove the fuel pump and clean it along with the pump filter.

Remove your oxygen sensors, clean them properly removing all the chalk like dust (sometimes difficult to remove- use a fine sand paper) and you should be good to go. Remember to erase codes after you are finished.

I advise Toyota Vitz 1KRFE engine owners with K410 CVT transmission to drop the transmission pan and change filter and use original Toyota CVT - TC fluid at around 40,000KM

Not all vehicle has automatic idle code enabling, how all modern cars now a days has. If you have a push button vehicle your car should have automatic idle code enabling.

@@ShelDockToyotaVitz Actually, that might not be quite true, it depends on the age. My 2012 Vitz is push start and it does not automatically re-enable the code. So I had to use your method and it actually worked. @Asad you probably have this fixed already, but just in case... For push start, you would press the start button with your foot OFF the brakes, that will turn it on without starting the engine. Then when you are on the third attempt you just do the usual and press the brakes and press start to turn on the engine.

Automatic Engine Idle Code Setting If your vehicle is ideling a bit rough and you have previously removed the positive terminal from the battery and there is no error codes after you done a scan, follow the procedure below: 1. Remove the positive battery terminal and reconnect after about 1 minute. 2. Turn on the vehicle and leave the engine running for about 5 to 10 minutes. This will automatically cause your car to re-learn engine idle code settings.
