I think Toyota need to make 1st and last gear for the CVT. The last gear like Daihatsu D-CVT.

No, it's just a facelift shortened version of the 3rd gen Vios platform. It carries the same 2NR engine and CVT gearbox from the 3.5gen. The 4th gen coming out next year however is confirmed D-CVT.

Toyota use Belt in high speed.. only launching use the gear.. opposite to daihatsu d-cvt. They use gear on high speed and belt on launching😅

Yes, it puts huge stress on the belt. But you should be braking with your brakes, it’s cheaper to replace the brake pad.

I am not sure about that, but i think overall torgue is what is enemy on all cvt transmission. Thats why toyota is newer put it diesels, i think. And thats why toyota gasoline engines with cvt working so well, because hawent got torgue 😄. And toyota aisin cvt is very little issues compare other factory cvt, like nissan. Here you dont find easy autosailsman who has something against that cvt , only that its not so smoot as like mercedes and volvos normal automatic, and i think those people know this .

Toyota ought to move to direct drive CVT from direct shift CVT. Where the ISG from a mild hybrid takes over drive during stalling speeds, allowing the ICE to be paired directly to the CVT without having to go through the torque converter.

​@@pilotaveryYes. Most torque converters engage a one way clutch after the stalling speeds. Trouble is during the stalling speeds when the transmission of power is entirely dependent on fluid coupling. Which needless to say is inefficient. Suzuki's R06a & Z12 engines engage a mild hybrid Integrated Starter Generator to handle the stalling speeds allowing the ICE to be paired directly to the CVT. A non-slip switch handles the transfer of power.

@@GbMuthu Yes so from 0 to 3 miles an hour it is disengaged and then from 3 to 11 mph The lockup clutch is engaged where it's running very efficient and then above 11 miles an hour it's using the Cvt and then the highest gear is direct drive.

Right way is do it flush change and example volvo oil is not cheap and i think it get easy 6-7 litres oil in that chance. Normal price is here like 400 euros and our toyota get 120 euros/100000 km in official service and works fine here north.

Good Work Toyota, your Customers in Africa Love Them especially when they are Paired to a V6, V8 and V12 American Specification Cars. Though i must remark that, they are gonna have a Though Time Repairing Those CVT Auto Gearboxes with a Bag Full Of Spanners. Also half decent parts for Automatic Transmissions are too Expensive, Too Expensive For Third World Customers...! Scale Back on Manufacture Of Automatic Cars before Electric Cars become the Norm. It will make Motoring more affordable in General...! 🤔🤔😇😇🌈🌈

Yes, it feels sometime little like a scooter, but i think toyota aisin is best version of cvt. It goes long way only with oil change 60000- 100000 period. Here in north europe example avensist27 gasolines goes wery well long time, and here is lot of those. Simple car but very little issues with cvt.
