Bob … here in the UK I have a Mazda 2 hybrid which as you know is a Toyota Yaris. I lease it as I travel 52 miles round trip to work. At the moment in the cold weather it’s achieving 59 mpg but during the warmer months 75mpg is easy. It’s well built, high spec and comfortable seats…£40 to fill it and around 550 miles per tank and of course, it’s a Toyota / Mazda what’s not to like? Great to see you looking so well mate, look forward to Lots of reviews in 2024 🍺

I’ve had a hybrid Yaris as a loaner a few times, great fun to drive actually! Being a Japanese import, I’d be too worried about theft. All it’ll take to solve is for the government to say every JDM has to have an immobiliser Stay well Bob!

The Most important thing I have learnt from this Video Bob is that your not in Sales! But I think your right the Yaris makes a lot of sense for High mileage use, I owned a Yaris Hybrid and enjoyed it and Toyota is one of the better Brands I Think you Should be in Sale's. Bob!

A fantastic car to drive, doesn't feel small when you are at the wheel and has all the kit you could ask for. Only problem is the 12v battery goes dead in like 5 minutes , so carry a battery jump kit with you, trust me you will need it.

Absolutely right. We bought one of these for my elderly mother. Hopeless as the battery was always flat. Had to sell it after a year, buy her a non hybrid and take a big loss. Toyota dealers should be responsible for mis selling if they sell one to anyone who isn't driving it a reasonable distance at least every other day

Hi Bob, you ever thought of doing a clip on the current state of lack of part production? Sitting here with a 2 year old Renault Arkana in my driveway waiting for a part from Renault Ireland for 3 months now. Car is undrivable, they won’t deliver part to dealership and I’m not allowed source the part myself because it would void my warranty. Not that a warranty is worth the paper it’s written on if they can’t get parts 😠

Always rated the yaris but toyota brought it on leaps and bounds with that newer hybrid. And your right great little car for doing mileage in, my daughter bought one, new in 2021 and used it to commute from west waterford to dublin. She just changed up to a hybrid yaris cross. Great to see you on the mend Bob, keep up the good work.

What is the ride quality like on the Yaris is it set soft to too soak up bumps and potholes.

I think this is a very good second car, but I have a 2007 Diesel Yaris and it’s a rock that refuses to die. Also all the clever bits from that generation (3 gloveboxes, sliding rear seats) are gone in the next generations. If you ask me this 4th generation Yaris is a worse car compared to the 2nd gen.
