Haters will hate but this looks really promising. Nearly 500lbs lighter than the old model and has more power and torque? New engines and a 10 speed transmission! Should be a great combo and more efficient too. The lighter weight should do wonders off road Also the tech is good. Big screen with android auto and apple carplay, and 360 monitor

toyota make lc300 with grade B design for exterior and interior so that improvment can be made for LEXUS LX and sell more expensive ? the outcome of the lc300 design is leaving alot to yearn for after a decade of wait stucking at lc200. but i will still buy lc300 for its reliabity.

I honestly prefer it. Hopefully it will give a larger differencee in price between a lc300 and the next LX. Toyota messed up with the current lc200 being too fancy for what it is, therefor killing the lc200 (and from what we are hearing the land cruiser as a whole) for North America. The LC should be a basic middle range vehicle with some higher end trims available as seen in the video, not like the single package 85k (USD) lc200 toyota had for North America. If you want luxory then go for the LX instead of outpricing the base model for the average, non-luxory seeking, sport utility vehicle consumer.

As an American, I will place an order for a new Land Cruiser 300 the day Toyota reverses the ill decision to remove it from our 2022 lineup. In 2017, we considered a new Land Cruiser and deeply wanted it, however we ultimately chose to purchase a new LX 570 because the US market Land Cruiser gave up several luxury features (and looked dated)that it came with in other markets (apparently to not step on the LX’s toes?) such as power second row seats, power folding third row seats, power lift gate (became standard after 2017), genuine real wood trim, etc. For the money, the Land Cruiser 200 was lacking several features that should have been available here in the states at it’s price point. However, I lusted after the Land Cruiser, never the watered down, less capable LX that we compromised for. The Land Cruiser offers something unique. It’s special in a way that the Mercedes G-Class is special to the luxury 4x4 community. Toyota can only blame themselves for the US’s previous take rate. The Land Cruiser never got a dime spent on it for marketing here. Heck, for many years Toyota has not even produced a brochure for the Land Cruiser. Many would be buyers did not understand the allure of the Land Cruiser, mainly because Toyota North America neglected to show them. The GMC Yukon Denali is a great comparison vehicle that is in the same $80k+ price range and does not wear a “luxury” badge, but yet sells very well. GMC spends time marketing the Yukon Denali model. The Land Cruiser is a much better, more reliable, overbuilt, purpose built 4x4 vehicle in comparison to the Yukon Denali, but has been very outdated and lacking in features, comparatively. If Toyota NA had been including the Land Cruiser in it’s marketing strategy, no doubt it would have sold better. Toyota is ridiculous to blame consumers, in this instance, for canceling the most legendary name plate in Toyota’s history instead of investing in it for the US market. Those of us that understand the brilliance of this machine are a much smaller group than should ever be if Toyota NA had not ignored this vehicle. The Land Cruiser deserves to hold a place in the US. The overbuilt nature of a Land Cruiser is exactly what Toyota can solely base its company’s success on. Toyota gained its reputation of durability and reliability off of this notion. This sense of pride and durability overkill is not found in a Sequoia. It’s the Land Cruiser that deserves to live on in our market. Going 14 years without an all new model or not even keeping the vehicle up to date by adding small, relevant enhancements year over year, added on top of complete neglect by Toyota US is what created sales issues. Toyota appears to look at sales numbers above all else without properly researching and gaining an accurate understanding for why the numbers are what they are before making drastic decisions (canceling the new vehicle for our market) seemingly blindly. All we wanted was a new version with the latest features and tech, more 4wd goodies and the retention of the vehicle’s incredible aircraft precision build quality. The new Land Cruiser 300 is all that. Now that its perfect, we can’t buy it? After 60 years in our market, with a new model on the way, it’s now time to pull the plug? Absolutely crazy. I grew up a Toyota fan, and as an adult I collect old, pristine examples of Toyota’s best from years past. This decision with the new LC in our market is a mistake. Much like sending the also legendary Supra off to BMW to be engineered. Toyota clearly does not understand the amazing legacies (or how their legacies were created) that have been built among a select few of their nameplates. What a shame. Land Cruiser, 4Runner, Supra and Celica all deserve to exist in the US market, designed by Toyota engineers to be proper successors to prior generations that helped build their legendary status and then to be followed up by proper marketing. As an owner of a new Mercedes G and Land Rover Range Rover (as well as a 21’ 4Runner), I am positive the redesigned Land Cruiser would be the only other 4x4 to deserve a spot at the top along with these other legendary, capable go anywhere SUV’s. The LX is not a genuine substitute. In my eyes, the Land Cruiser badge is more prestigious than a Lexus badge. This, Toyota NA needs to understand and capitalize on. There is a market for both vehicles if better managed and properly executed. Americans deserve to experience the new Land Cruiser 300. The sales failure of the Land Cruiser 200 stateside can only be blamed on lack of product updates and zero marketing. Keep the product updated, competitive and customers informed as to why it’s the best. America’s love for 4x4’s and over-landing goes hand in hand with this vehicle. America loves the Land Cruiser, just look at sales figures for the 80-series. This new 300 is a modern day 80! At the very minimum, offer the vehicle here as a special order only product if not a normally stocked vehicle like the rest of the lineup. If you can’t sell an suv in today’s automotive arena, then it’s not the customer, it’s you, the manufacturer. Toyota, invest in the Land Cruiser for the US. Rugged, genuinely capable 4x4s are again increasing dramatically in popularity here. Many Americans are getting tired of all the crossovers and are increasingly preferring to see traditional, boxy adventurous 4x4’s again as a way of being different, unique. The Land Cruiser 300 is perfect for the US. Don’t change the vehicle, change your approach to its marketing. A little bit of marketing will go along way. This new 300 series is the Land Cruiser I’ve been waiting for. This is the Land Cruiser I wish my LX 570 was. I absolutely would place an order immediately if provided the chance.
