Don't you want to buy one now and do the same thing?" 2nd Gen GR86 Owner to Toyota: "My (stock) engine blew up while I was at the track due to the poor design that leads to catastrophic oil starvation. I want you to repair it under warranty." Toyota: "Denied. Our warranty does not cover cars on a racetrack." 2nd Gen GR86 Owner: "WTH........." 😑

Toyota fix the oil pressure problem in these cars. Making these videos to show them on the track but won’t honor warranty when engine blows

Subaru has been honoring their warranties but Toyota hasn't unless there is backlash in the media at which point they will suddenly decide to honor the warranty. This exact scenario has happened more than once.@@re4796

RTV issue is easy to fix. The oil starvation is a much more pressing issue.

Despite that, they've blown more than one FA24 unfortunately. Even the aftermarket struggles to come up with a solution other than dry sump to avoid pressure drops. Edit : I didn't see any bright blue accusump reservoir, only remote shock fluid reservoirs, tied to the stock chassis braces!
