My daughter worked on the end-process of this effort this year, choosing toys from the pile and packing up for specific families (e.g. one child 4 years old and one 6 etc) - and she would love to “choose” your choices!!! We let the children shop for other children during this program...all ages...it's a great 'gift' to see their joy in giving and also for us to see the excitement of giving to other kids. They are also reminded giving is ALL year long and not just the holidays. We work year long.

You are an angel on earth. Like you I recently bought some toys for our local toy drive and went for classic games. I hadn't been in a toy department for a long time. I was surprised that all the toys seemed to have a tie-in to a movie, etc. There was nothing generic. Back in the 80's and 90's my budget for toys was $75. Today it wouldn't buy 1 nice toy.
