My NC7's arrived today, and I played with them for an hour or so. Initial impression very positive. Yes, they're a little bright, but my 62 year old ears, with some high frequency hearing loss, don't mind that much, and since I listen mostly to classical music, the clarity is welcome. The case is tiny, even smaller than the Earfun Free Pros. ANC works pretty well, although I don't think that it's quite as robust as the Soundpeats T2's. Touch controls are sensible and work well. Fit is good, and the case is actually fairly forgiving of various tips (I've found with other earbuds that using non-propietary tips may improve the sound and fit, but then the buds don't turn off when placed back in the case). The buds are a little hard to remove from the case (actually a little easier with Spinfit tips attached), but not nearly as difficult as the Mpow X6's that I returned. So far, two thumbs up for these.

Thanks for the review Sozen, loved the NC9s and still waiting on a U.K. release for the NC7s! NC9's have been updated since you reviewed them, if you compare the early 2020 box with the late 2020 early 22021 box you will notice there is a change, the front bottom right logo were it used to say just NC9 now has "Updated" written below NC9, this brings several changes as I understand it bringing the NC9 and NC7 to almost identical specs

They actually made a whole new version called the nc9 plus. Its the same overall design but it lasts 10.5 hours and with the case it lasts over 100 hours. I tried running with these today and they picked up a lot of wind noise because of ambient and ANC. I tried turning them off while running but was unsuccessful for some reason? I think I'd like to try and run with Ambient ans ANC off to see if it cuts down the wind noise. Another thing I noticed was that under water feeling and hearing my footsteps. I was thinking that might be why buds have vents because of running. The seal is just unreal and makes the ANC really strong but could hurt running......maybe I'll try a smaller ear tip
@SoZenGadgets3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jon, you could try smaller tips or loosely fit them in what i call "manual ambient mode", just a really loose fit. I would still go for a pair of earhook buds for running - in March/April when it's cold and windy, even the earhook style will not be perfect against the cold wind, but they are still far better than any in-ear earbud, imo.

I need to get new buds, had NC9s for 2 years. Used the APP to update the firmware and they were great. That is Until the batteries started degrading badly, they wouldn't turn off when put in the case and after 2 years they won't stay on longer than 2 minutes. I did love the way they sounded though. I have come to like having ANC and soundquality while listening to music and movies is my top priority. Here come the questions: I really loved the Soundpeats trueengine 2 soundstage, should I just get the 3se? Is the soundstage "larger" than the nc9? How do they compare to the nc2? The Soundpeats T2? No App for these right? Thanks you're always super informative.

Hey Matteo, what did you end up getting? Seems like SoundPeats has really updated their app and which buds can connect to it - I'd have no issues recommending their earbuds. However, the 3SE and H1 are more accuracy buds, imo. I'd have recommended the T2 for bass.

Dear Sozen, thank you for a great review on my favourite noise cancelling tws tozos. But please help me out here I am a little confused here and would really appreciate some clarification if you could please. You mentioned that the NC-7 are tuned significantly brighter when comparing them to the last model NC-9 to the point of almost bordering sibilance yet you also add on that they have good ample bass and subbass yet at the closing remarks you mentioned that the NC-9 were slightly brighter than NC-7 ??? I am confused shouldn't that be the other way around ? I don't mind clarity and elevated mids but not a huge fan of super high treble focused earbuds personally, not to say that I want them to be rumbling with bass but I don't want the drums sound like cymbals like chirping glass. Can you please clarify again how sharp is the treble in NC-7 compare to NC-9 ? Because if I go with your closing assesment that NC-9 are tuned slightly brighter than NC-7 then I think I can handle that but it its the otherway around with too much ear piercing treble and weak or no bass persea then I might have to reconsider them as these might not be the best choice for me personally and might have to return them before they even get shipped. Last note, can I please ask the brand name and the model of your wireless chargimg bank with digital display that you used here or where I might be able to get one. I have ordered the NC-7 through your link just hoping that the sound treble would be reasonable with out sharp sibilance. Hi Michael, you're welcome. The left mfb single press toggles between ANC on & Ambient on modes. My wish is that there be a third option of ANC & Ambient Off, but Tozo seems to like only the first 2 options. @SoZenGadgets3 жыл бұрын
I am pretty sensitive to that sensation, but I do try to ignore my personal preferences somewhat for my reviews... The NC7 ANC is not perfect and you can't turn it off, either, so for you, I probably would recommend any other brand bud with hybrid ANC, since you can wear them with ANC off (and ambient off), just Tozo doesn't give that mode other than when the buds first come out of the case (or powering them off/on). Thinking about it, i would have thought the NC2, being a stem style bud, would give less of that feeling than an in-ear dot-style bud, if you wanted to try a bud, try the MPow X6, which doesn't penetrate your ears very far, but still has strong ANC (if you prefer the deep in-ear style buds, then you might not like the X6, but you will struggle to find ANC in the deep ear buds that doesn't give you that feeling you described). I'm pretty chatty tonight lol

Another excellent detailed review SoZen! The sound signature of the NC7s in your review sound almost like a carbon copy of the sound signature of the TOZO NC2s (stem style) that I mentioned to you after your review of the MPOW X6s. I don't think the NC2s sound as bright as the NC7s the way you described them but as you said, everyone's sound preference's are different. I think the NC2s are actually TOZO's newest model though (at least based on the fact that they are running bluetooth 5.2 version). I actually have the NC7s due to arrive on Tuesday (another free promo from TOZO) so I'm looking forward to testing them out! It would be great if you could get your hand's on a pair of the NC2s. I think they sound absolutely fantastic also. They are exactly the same price as the NC7s but there's a 20% percent coupon discount for them on Amazon right now! You should consider grabbing a pair!
@dzmj34073 жыл бұрын
@Ken Kong I returned my NC-7s as the sound signature didn't sounds good as it did on my NC2s. Maybe I got a bad pair but the level of clarity (particularly the lack of bass response compared to the NC2s, even with EQ applied) was a disappointment. As I said, it could have been a faulty pair. I've been using the NC2s extensively for about 2 weeks now and I'm seriously impressed with the noise cancelling, the ambient noise, etc, and I'm an earbuds junkie with plenty to compare them to. Some of my collection includes: Jabra 75ts with upgraded ANC, Sony WF-SP800N, Soundcore Liberty 2s and Liberty Air2s, Soundcore Spirit X2s, Soundcore Life Q30s, TOZO T-10s, T-12S, NC9s, Earfun Free Pro, Soundpeats H1 so my NC2s are up against some pretty stiff competition and they compete very well, IMHO.
@dzmj34073 жыл бұрын
@Ken Kong Yes, they are bluetooth 5.2 version. Unfortunately no APT-X codec support. I haven't come across any TOZO earbuds yet that support APTx. They all support AAC & SBC (the default is AAC). As an Android user (I have a One Plus 7 Pro, with Dolby Atmos built in), I would prefer APTx support but in my experience, the manufacturer's tuning of the earbuds and good implementation of a codec is more important. I have a mix of earbuds that contain both and with some I notice the difference, others, I don't. As for the stem style, I have several pairs that put out some pretty impressive bass! (ex, Soundcore Liberty Air2s, OneMore Piston buds are two examples). By the way, I also found that my NC2s to be louder than both the NC7s and the NC9s by a couple of notches. I would estimate them at 100db or so. They get pretty loud!

@Ken Kong Enacfire makes good products.They all have different sound signatures which is why I have several pair (well, I'm a Tech junkie, lol). It depends on whether you care about noise cancelling or not. The Soundpeats H1 can only be ordered through Kickstarter - don't ask me why! Lol. As for the Apollo Bolds, I returned three pairs because although the noise cancelling is really good (among the best in the sub $100 range and they are bass heavy), the pairing process was finicky with all three and their app implementation was very poor. Clear Ally Audio (not very well known or spoken of) makes some excellent sounding earbuds (they look just like the Apollo bolds but sound far better). They are releasing some new earbuds first week of April. Quoted specs from their website cleeraudio.com/coming_soon/ally-plus-ii/ Cleer Acoustic Labs custom tuned 10mm neodymium drivers deliver dynamic audio performance and powerful bass. Bluetooth® 5.2 with AptX™, AptX™ Adaptive, and dual microphones for enhanced call quality and an App to adjust noise cancelling and ambient noise! (price: $129.00 retail according to an online Rep I spoke with via chat) Sounds promising! If you register on their website, they offer a 10% discount AND 15% for military (including Guard, Retired, and Reserve)! Not sure if the new ones will be offered at a discount though, probably not.

Hey DZMJ - for the NC7, when you take them out of the case they are in anc off & ambient off (unless you turn on ANC or Ambient) and in that mode I also found the bass to be ... lacking. Considering your collection, you're probably just as well saving the $50 lol
@dzmj34073 жыл бұрын
@@SoZenGadgets Hey Sozen, ah ok. Then the NC2s are definitely different in that regard because I barely noticed a shift in sound when listening to them in all three modes. The bass is definitely there regardless of sound mode and its tight too! I think TOZO knocked it out of the park with the NC2s!

I went through two pairs of nc9 earbuds. They kept dying in the charging case for some reason. But these nc7 earbuds looks pretty good. Have you looked at the enactfire G10 earbuds or Aukey EP-T31? I have the Aukey EP-T31 and really like em but the Enactfire might be something to consider they're pretty affordable.

Thank you for your review 😊. I don't want to have my earbuds in ANC or ambient mode to get the best sound out of them that's just kind of weird. I now realize that the Earfun Free Pro buds have weak ANC compared to the TOZO NC7 because of the lack of passive isolation with the size. Earfun Free Pro is still my favorite all-around for comfort and sound quality but the NC7 are my fav ANC option now. I think the NC7 just has strong passive noise isolation + its upgraded ANC over the NC9 gives it the best ANC that I've seen at this price range so far, but haven't tried the Soundpeats T2 or the Enacfire A9. I own the NC9 too and my main issue is the battery life on my pair is really poor (talking like 2.5 hours), and has some charging quirks.

Agreed, the nc7 anc tops the efp by alot. The nc2 also. Both tozo anc buds have no extra noise in their anc, while the t2 does, imo.

@@SoZenGadgets, You're my go-to guy for all earbud reviews and mic tests! I ended up going with the Earfun Free Pros and have been using it for a few weeks. I still have my Tranya T10's. Everyone I've talked to using my Earfun's say they hear me clear and similar to the Tranya T10s. I also tested these by leaving myself a voicemail.
