Hi mate. Does the second connector have to be hardwired to the device you’re using or could it itself also be wired to a wifi router to create a second wifi hub in that location? I’ve just tried doing this with a garden room that we have 50m from the house, using an old BT wifi router that I had lying around. It seems to work in the garden room BUT it’s messed up the wifi in the main house in that it keeps dropping. I’m a real noob when it comes to this stuff but have I got the two wifi routers (the main one in the house and the second one in the garden room) interfering with each other or something? I did see that TP Link have another product whereby the second connector is a wifi transmitter in its own right. Perhaps I should’ve bought that one….

I think you need to make sure that everything is on the same MTU if not on automatic. Resend of remainder partial packets will slow down a busy network.

Hello, I have question, if the total home power is lost, then returned. Do I need to pair both devaices again, or it will automatically pair them self again?

Hi, they will automatically reconnect (pair) with each other again when the power returns.

I read on Zyxel FAQ, homeplug powerline technology does not support Jumo frame. Another info Powerline-Powerline connedction are not full duplex, just half-duplex. That is another reason we never gonna reach the theoretical speed and of course there is another many reson. (for example AV1000 (1000Mbps), AV600 (600Mbps) means PHY layer speed, so the practical data throughput is also less... AV1000 maybe could be ~600Mbps IF(!!!) every condition is perfect. 160Mbps is quiet good, acceptable for real world conditions. My AV600 kit can do in my enviroment 70-95Mbps.

don't use the cable that came with it... it looks pretty cheap quality.. all these free (included) white cables are crap. I had to buy 3 different cables one was 400 other 500/550 .... all was cat5e and cat6, still gave me crappy speed 400 to 550Mbit and finally I got a more expensive, good quality braided cat6 and I got my speed up to 920/200 download and up (I used ethernet not powerline) Same happens with powerline, you get bad kit cable you will get bad speed, get a good cable it may double your speed. Also make sure do not bend the cables, even around corners if you put it through walls, make a nice big arc. Bending it can ruin the stability so also the speed. Good quality cable, no bending, that should help to get good speed.

Would you need to get two cables for both adapters?
