Sir.........is it necessary to connect to a internet in order to setup this router wr740n......and also wen I set it up by cd.at the last step it shows a cross at verified router settings .......pls help sir

Hi Tiwari, yes u surely need internet, if CD not working than u have to setup it manually, read video description for more video about this router, coz some times Cd not working, wish u all the best and plz Subscribe!!!

@harry when i am intalling the cd at the last step it getting failed everytime with a message and the message is please check the WAN connection type and parameters and please check your network connectivity and retry

please help.... i have instaled and setup my router as set... im using ethernet bradband conection ( static ip )... im having trouble that... my android even after getting connected with wifi donot open any web pages or any internet acess..... i check d same with my sony m dual and micromax canvas... in both of then i cant use net.. allthough connectivity is strong.. ... i read whole manual provided with it..... but no help... please help me...

Hello Harry, I have a TPLink tr 740N version wireless router. It is working normal. ISP: BSNL Total connected resources: Hardware connection Source: BSNL ADSL2 Modem. 1 Desktop 2 Laptops 3 Android Mobile Smartphone (OS Gingerbread onward) Problem: I am able to access all websites on mobile smartphones (browsers: Opera Mini) but not on computers. Websites are such as irctc.co.in, indiarailinfo.com etc. Mostly government relevant websites. Problem Analysis(It might be wrong): DNS address resolution problem on Computers. Website reply(No data from the server) whereas rest of the websites like google, youtube etc just works fine. Total setup: ADSL LAN is connected to WAN of TPLINK WIFI Wifi Internet Setup : PPPoe type(ISP provided username and password) DNS Address: 218.248.255.210, 218.248.241.2 All Default settings used. Security: WPA2/PSK My Effort: tried to apply DNS Address on computers but no use.

Router not gonna work with that bro or u have to talk with ur internet provider, here we use modem and modem pass connection to router, Ask them if u can or not, my experience says negative, good luck :)
