Times have changed. Back in 1973 cars only came equipped with AM radio. Later FM was added. Today's cars come equipped with GPS, Sirius XM Satellite radio, etc. At least with GPS we no longer have to rely on road atlases.

An optioned-up prize car for once. A bit too optioned-up, though, AMC's V8 was nowhere near as good as their straight 6. Likewise, upwards of half of all Hornets (depending on the year) were wagons, AMC had the compact wagon segment to themselves for the first half of the '70s.

I remember the early days of Wheel of Fortune when they would win money and have to use the money to shop from the featured prizes. The products were overpriced ,not very practical and the taxes would have been higher than what the product was worth if you tried to sell it.If you didn’t want to shop and just ‘bank’ the money if you hit a bankrupt in later rounds you would lose the banked money too.They had a Dalmatian dog statue that was the lowest priced prize that was two or three hundred dollars.Back then that was a months rent in many places.
