There is a good chance with Sam, that his "Minotaur" may meet other criteria secretly that we have yet to learn, he is one of those players who likes to mess with the GM, the audience and the other Players. Some have already suggested the same and that he might be a Devil or other horned creature.

He got throat cancer, had to leave suddenly for surgery and recovery so they killed off cancer. This character is more on his capabilities due to his speach therapy. It's why they found him with a slit to the throat, to match Sam's real scar and now voice limitations. Probably will be his character until the end to help him recover
