Both are great pens but I must agree, the 2000 is my absolute favorite pen! -Frank

Awaiting for a Lamy 2000 with a double broad nib. I hope the postal service will deliver it to me today. I have a bottle of Diamine Tobacco Sunburst and was thinking of using that ink in my Lamy 2000. I just watched your video and can't wait to try that combo. + Great video & have a nice weekend. Greetings from Lima, Peru.

I wish you luck :) I have been waiting for one of my packages for 3 months now... But great ink choice, it's my favorite at the moment!

Did you receive your Double broad lamy? I’m considering the same pen as my next!

Go for it! I love writing with my double broad Lamy 2000 so much that I'm now considering buying another with the same nib but in the stainless steel version.

@@diegomercadomontanez3270 the stainless steel also looks great! Does the BB nib have a small sweet spot and does it require any pressure to write?

So which one did you get?

Which one?

I have both in medium nibs. I also opted to use the cartridge for the Capless. The difference in ink capacity between the piddly converter and the generous cartridge is the real deal breaker for the Capless. The Lamy 2000 is overall the better buy here. Form and function.

I have the same opinion!

I am more shocked the Lamy 2k only holds 1.35 mL vs the 1.03 mL of a catridge.

It’s a bit unfair to say the Lamy 2000’s inability to fit into narrow Diamine bottle is a flaw. The VP has the exact same problem as would most fountain pens. You say it’s a flaw of the 2000, yet say it a pro in the VP that you can syringe fill it… adding the use of a syringe is something external and not included in either pen, yes you can use a syringe to fill the VP, but you can also syringe fill a 2000… The problem of a narrow Diamine bottle neck is not the fault of a pen, it’s a flaw in the bottle design.
@thepennook63252 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it's a flaw, more like a downside. For the VP, you can simply take the feed unit out of the barrel and fill it in narrow bottles. You can watch videos on how to ink the VP if you are interested in the process.

@@thepennook6325 You said it’s not a problem with a cartridge converter pen because you can syringe fill it… You can unscrew the section of the Lamy 2000 and syringe fill it too. Let me know if you need help figuring out how to do that. I’m sure we can find a video for you to watch. In your video you didn’t mention taking the entire nib unit out, but I guess that is an advantage you figured out afterwards and only relevant for a very specific instance. But relevant for all cases, is you have to unscrew the body to get to the knob… no big deal, but if you’re going to mention slight upsides in specific use cases, might as well mention slight downsides that apply to all situations. I don’t know, seems strange to make a pros and cons list based on the design of a single ink bottle, that’s more of a specific use case.
