Another thing I think is personally think it's a problem is the double-edged sword that is the viewers voting. The main problem is that potential story arcs can be left unfinished because more people voted for edit character's to save then the person with the arc. The best example I can think of is match. It seems like she was going to have a redemption arc where she changes her ways to be better. But then in the very next episode match was eliminated. I know that episode was a vote to eliminate instead of a vote to save but I feel like it has the same problem. So an idea I have that you don't have to do but I think we'll be pretty interesting is to do something like inanimate Insanity where the contestants voted for the eliminated contestants. And if you also want you could include the season 3 wale voting in where the viewers vote for one character to get immunity.

You probably won't see this, but thank you for making this! This video alone perfectly points out all the flaws I personally had, and I am REALLY REALLY excited for what's to come. New TPOT really feels unpaced and lacking in character development, and you pointed it out well. I wrote my own individual episodes, edits of the current to improve TPOT, as I believe I can replicate Satomi's writing very well (many people have acknowledge that) and im curious to see what you plan! 1:27 and to think, we just got the same thing twice. Going back to BFB 1-15 is dystopian. I watched BFB 15 and TPOT 6 back to back and it was genuinely shocking how much better BFB 15 was in every single way.

BFB 15 is the absolute pinnacle of the entire franchise to me, the way it basically tackled every single storyline that was happening at the time was great, the challenge was great, and I truly believe so much stuff that started in that episode could have happened if not for the split. I will always be okay with the split, but imagining what BFB could have been without it is very interesting.

Can't wait to see this rewritten, I'm more of a fan of lighthearted episodes, but a lot of the contestants are BFB contestants that really didn't get to shine as much because there were 64 participants, and it's probably only fair if long-story enjoyers get the same treatment as us lighthearted story enjoyers too That doesn't mean I dislike long-stories though, ONE is literally my second favorite object show, so if the storyline is enough to keep me hooked, it's a good watch for me

To be fair, Post Split BFB kinda had the whole “forgetting about plot lines” thing as well. Woody’s arc was basically reversed up until BFB 21, Lollipop never “avenged” X for getting burned, or the Loser plot line where every one doubts him in BFB 17. This doesn’t excuse TPOT, and it needs to be addressed, but TPOT didn’t only have this problem.

I think both TPOT and Post split kind of sucked tbh. I'd say TPOT is a bit better just because it felt more alive and chaotic while post split had less characters. I'm not saying quantity is greater than quality but while TPOT is kind of lacking in writing, it makes up for how enjoyable it is while in terms of writing for post split, post split is only a little better.

To be fair, that's to be expected from post split, considering it was never meant to be story driven like how the secret behind bfb's split said If anything we were *lucky* we got arcs like the firey and leafy storyline since those were never supposed to be on this more carefree side of BFB

Lollipop avenged X in BFB 30, and in the scenes where Loser is still a contestant, he is shown to care a lot more about what his fans think of him instead of actually being a good person.

@@APOYOSC this has nothing to do with the current state of tpot, but they rlly should’ve planned for BFB to be heavily written and TPOT to be the enjoyable season. Think about it, BFB has less characters. It’s more possible to make every character important as opposed to tpots 43 members, where many of the 43 will be forgotten or redundant. One advantage of 43 characters means more chaos and more potential to be enjoyable as opposed to BFbs shallow cast of 14

Honestly a Good way to add story lines to TPOT is To Establish them early and End them around 5-6 episodes after and the starting more arcs a Episode after that

TBF the whole "character interactions" idea wasn't fully dropped, TPOT 4 and TPOT 5 are two episodes that show an interesting plot of a team getting sabotaged by someone from another team, so there's that.

At first i wasnt sure about gaty talking with two during episode 2, but it payed off a little in episode 6 because they knew two a little more than everyone else does, so its good gaty wasn’t eliminated in episode 4

With the whole thing of forgetting story arcs, another example would be Lightning in TPOT 4 his team excluded him from the challenge and said that they could prevent death without him, they never anywhere with that story and it sucks and it’s also not better that the gave Lightning nothing to do in the next episode

I like what this sounds like! Just two minor thoughts that I kinda want to share based on what was said here: A. I don’t think the puffball and golf ball arc is done yet. The apology did not feel like the end to me, and if anything only furthers the arc since golf ball is now somewhat improving. I don’t think this will be the end of it. And B (the bigger one), I think tv is honestly fine. Yes it is true that the episode he got a plot was the episode he was initially ufe, and then that arc was immediately dropped, but I do feel like that is discounting what he DID do in TPOT 6. He was a very relevant character to his team throughout the entire episode, which is significantly more than what he was before, so they are at least keeping him relevant. The other side of this is that as best as I can tell, tv wasn’t gonna get out anyways, at least according to predictions and polls I’ve seen across KZbin before TPOT 5 was released. None of this to start an argument or anything, but it is stuff that feels important to say. I’m really looking forward to this project though, especially after TPOT 6 which I felt was very lackluster for the most part. Keep up the good work!

i just had a great idea for how the winnerclock arc could have went TPOT 4: Clock Keeps On Trying To Put Winner On A Pedestal, And Winner Is Still Mad TPOT 5: Winner Finally Gets Completely tired of it, Yelling At Clock For Giving Them Fame They Don't Want TPOT 6: Clock Tries To Apologize But Winner Dosen't Accept TPOT 7: Winner Explains To Clock Why They Don't Want Fame And Clock Apologizes For Giving Them Fame They Didn't Want And Winner Finally Forgives Him BOOM I DID IT BETTER THAN THEY DID (cuz they did nothing after TPOT 3) Edit: I want to continue the eggy and teardrop friendship as well, so here it is (of course, this could never happen now, since eggy is eliminated) TPOT 7: Teardrop Loses, But Two Decides It Would Be Unfair To Just Eliminate Teardrop, so TPOT 8: Two hosts a challenge to get teardrop on the team that wins, and TSTOE Wins TPOT 9: Eggy and teardrop talk during the episode quite a bit, with teardrop helping eggy come up with a challenge idea. TPOT 10: Eggy Learns Sign Language And Can Now Actually Know What Teardrop Is Saying (teardrop would have to learn sign language too, and of course, their would be subtitles for anyone that can't read sign language) TPOT 11 (option 1): Teardrop tells eggy why he is mute in the post credit scene TPOT 11 (option 2): Eggy Asks Why Teardrop Is Mute, But He Declines Answering And that's all i want to write of that

I see both sides Although I prefer TPOT 3-6 more than TPOT 1-2, so personally think BFDI should remain storyless and light-hearted, it's better! Though I get that people could be upset with what was promised with TPOT. Though, we have gotten more polished visuals and better quality, though i get the writing is quite different. But you can't blame it on the show itself, it's just the showrunners changing. Also about the Winner Clock thing, didnt Winner say they wanted to be left alone? Winner was left alone so i dont get the problem. Though the TV RF thing, idk lol. But the GB and PB storyline i think was handled really well! (Imo) But i dont think comparing the PB GB arc to the Taco Book arc isnt fair. Book was way more harsh for no reason while GB was completely justified. That's just imo tho, and I'm ready to see what you have in store for this alternate universe of TPOT!

Some stuff Golf Ball has said seem like she might be thinking about BFDIA 5e, like how in TPOT 3 she gets rather... stern? warning Puffball not to ruin the roller coaster. And then in TPOT 5, after Fries stands up for Puffball, Golf Ball tells him that she was not to be trusted and that she would sabotage their team. (Although, that one could be about the more recent episodes). It would be interesting if what Puffball did in BFDIA 5e could be specifically mentioned.

(This is what I wish TPOT would switch to) I think they'll have the characters vote out someone like in Inanimate Insanity. My problem with viewers voting (both save and eliminate) is how it drives the story and how you can't make changes after the fact (see Clock and Winner's potential relationship now being impossible to continue, like they mentioned).

@@drakeburnett7254 You are right in how VTE/VTS is unpredictable in who it will eliminate and can lead to some arc falling flat, though I have to admit it is fun to be able to decide who stays another episode or not (which is why I think voting on which team loses and having a contestant vote for eliminations is best). Anyways, this wasn't my main point, especially cause contestant vote (aka APOY decides) still shares the same problem with the other systems for TPOT Rewritten: If everyone's getting arcs, how will APOY decide which characters should get eliminated? BFDI's whole premise of eliminating characters frequently is pretty much the antithesis of APOY's goal to make every character shine, which is why I want to know how he will handle them, if he does at all.

Another issue I have with TPOT and BFB is how the challenges go. Many of them involve these crazy things that can be done (such as the ability to purchase items in TPOT 5, defying gravity, also in TPOT 5, Teardrop becoming the FREAKING OCEAN, yet again in TPOT 5, and Two just suddenly liking some of the worst teams’ doings (TPOT 3 and 6) as some sort of twist). It feels like the writers are just pulling out random ideas that give some random teams advantages because… who knows. These episodes are not bad, but I feel like BFDI is just doing whatever it wants to make challenges work, even if it’s incredibly… not right.

I agree but I feel like the point of teardrops character is to be a wildcard. I think her doing all those random and outrageous things are part of her character. But you’re right. The randomness is getting out of hand. Like the random dragon quest in Tpot 6 for example.

I dunno how are the episodes created or created but we must take something in attencion Inanimate insanity with a small team could make consistent episodes with different writters in a small gap of time For me clearly Satomi w/Pokey were the best writters handly almost the charactrs perfecty,TPOT 2 is my favorite ep bc of the quimic that everyone has with different teams... Well and then Tpot3 was such disappointment Like i rly like Sams writting qnd aproved a lot and final Bfb episodes are a prove of that. Still it seems that misses that conection with TPOT1 and 2 . Lately if someone said something that anyone in the show can say. Dunno ,some chars lost some charisma. For me I rly loved the interactions on episodes 5 and 6, but will take example of fries,i rly loved that finally he did something in Tpot 5 with his bestfriend puffball, was something genuine but later he got eleminated. Naily is my favorite character and she was AMAZING on tpot1. Tpot2 was short interaction but rly nice. I see she as a different character than everyone (Taggy are like a cheap copy of naily but more soft, naily was more chaotic) and she was left to be eliminated since she didnt nothing special. Like i know probably the show will improve a lot but for now whats done is done sadly.

Thank god you didn't stick with the original idea of having TTS voices over every character, as it would get extremely annoying after a while. I'd prefer if you just analyze character interactions and storylines rather than just playing them out, so I'm glad this change was made!
