TPRS Ukrainian for Beginners | Vacation in City vs Village

Practice listening and speaking in Ukrainian with the TPRS video for Beginners!
Storytelling with additional questions you need to answer is a great way to improve your Ukrainian!
The story is simple and I tell it at quite a slow pace. Check the vocabulary list below before the lesson, then listen to me attentively and answer my questions.

кузина - cousin
велике місто - big city
іздити на машині - go by car (drive)
малювати - to draw
готувати - to cook
коронна страва - crown dish
Голубці - "holubtsy" - Ukrainian dish (stuffed cabbage leaves with rice, vegetables and meat)
лікарня - hospital
медсестра - nurse
звісно - of course, sure
домашні улюбленці - pets
в селі - in the village
у вільний час - in a free time
вишивати - to embroider
улюблений жанр - favorite genre
мало часу - little time
корови та кури - cows and chicken
лікар - doctor
втомилися від ... - got tired from...
помінятися - switcched
поїхала у відпустку - went to a vacation
чудово провести час - to spend time wonderfully
памʼятки - sights
прекрасно відпочила - had a great rest
плавала - swam
засмагала - tanned
квіти в полі - flowers in the field
свіжі овочі та фрукти - fresh vegetables and fruit
в гамаку - in a hammock
повторити це через рік - to repeat it in a year
давайте згадаємо - let's remember
плавала в басейні - swam in the pool

I absolutely love this video. I've been studying Ukrainian for about 3 months by myself and wasn't sure I was making any progress as when tying to watch programs in Ukrainian (Cuphead on Netflix in Ukrainian is great) I barely understand anything. Although I don't know everything you said in the story I fully understood pretty much everything and realised that I know a lot more than I thought. Keep up the amazing work and stay safe 🥰

Я люблю провести мою відпустку біля Балтійського моря. Але не на піщаному (?) пляжі, а на скелях Аландського архіпелагу. Really liked this video. I understood almost all words (only had to check a few) so for pure listening I could - personally - probably benefit from a slightly higher difficulty of the vocabulary (just to push myself a bit). But with answering the questions I still struggle using the correct cases and case-endings so all-in-all I'd say the level was perfect. Дякую!
